BLSD Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer James Gregor L. Asuelo
He was a student leader himself, he was elected 3 consecutive term as Student Government when he was in High School, served the government at the very young age of 16, as He was been elected SK Chairman and consequently elected as regular council member for 9 years, serving as Committee Chairman for Youth and Sports Development, Committee on Finance and Appropriations and the powerful Committee on Ways and Means.
A consistent honor student, graduated valedictorian in High School and was granted Full scholarship grant for Academic Excellence at Xavier University- Ateneo de Cagayan, as he took up Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
He also join the local and national campaign staff of Former Governor and Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno, Nueva Ecija Former Governor and Congressman Eduardo N. Joson, Former Senate President Pro-Tempore and now House Deputy Speaker and Batangas 6th District Representative Ralph G. Recto and the Presidential Campaing of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
A serial entrepreneur, active investor and social development advocate, He established and founded Bridging Leaders for Sustainable Development Inc. in 2013, Asuelo Management Consultancy in 2015, Impact Southeast Asia Travel and Tours in 2020, and the Asuelo Group Corporation, BALAI Partylist,Asuelo Sustainable Construction and Development Corporation (Asuelo Builders) and the Asian Network for Sustainable Development Inc. in 2023.
A recipient of the President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Presidential Medal for Outstanding Leadership and the Oscar S. Moreno Congressional Medal for Leadership, he will be joining the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Localization Initiative for UN-SDGs Education and Advocacy to give his Inspirational Message.
BLSD is excited to host over a 1 hundred in person attendees and online participants of what is considered to be the project's culmination event.
