HOPE BEYOND THE WALLS 🌟🙏

Anima Legis, in partnership with UMAK School of Law Government, gathered for the annual Anima Legis Jail Visitation at Makati City Jail on December 6, 2025. This year’s theme was “Hope Beyond the Walls”, reminding us that kindness and compassion breaks barriers through simple yet meaningful acts. The group successfully distributed Christmas gifts, food packs, and kits to 100 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

This year’s jail visitation is a powerful reminder that hope knows no boundaries, and it was a moment to extend comfort, listening ears, and encouragement.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to all who generously contributed their time, resources, and efforts to make this holiday season warmer and more meaningful for our PDLs.

Anima Legis would like to welcome the 9th Batch of Makati Law Scholars ✨👏

We are proud to welcome the fifty new scholars of the City Government of Makati who will pursue their dreams of becoming lawyers at the University of Makati School of Law.

As the 9th batch of scholars under this program, they will receive free legal education and a range of benefits made possible through the continued support of the city government.

Out of more than 500 applicants, these outstanding individuals were selected through a comprehensive and competitive admissions process. This included the University of Makati Law School Admission Test (UMak LSAT), screening based on academic aptitude and relevant experience, and an interview to assess their potential and commitment to the legal profession.

Congratulations to all who qualified for the scholarship program. We look forward to seeing you contribute to the continuing legacy of excellence and service upheld by the University of Makati School of Law.

We came together on December 21, 2024 for the annual Anima Legis' Jail Visitation at Makati City Jail.

With the theme, "Yakap ng Pasko: Init ng Pag-asa sa Bawat Isa," the day was filled with meaningful moments by distributing Christmas gifts, food packs, and kits for 100 PDLs.

This visitation was more than just an event—it showed the power of community, kindness, and hope for a better future.

This event was one of the advocacy initiatives supported by the EQUAL FOOTING: A Run for a Cause, held in November 2024.

ICYMI: Last November 10, 2024, Anima Legis partnered with the FreeTime Projectand other organizations to host EQUAL FOOTING: A Run for a Cause at the UP Diliman Academic Oval. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This meaningful event supported advocacy initiatives benefiting Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), as well as programs advancing the rights of PWDs, Women and Children, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

We’re grateful to have been part of this inspiring collaboration, bringing people together for positive change. 💛
