We successfully concluded Phase 3 of our Cybersecurity Training: Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Management for Senior Management and Board of Directors.
On May 22, 2026, Executives, Senior Management, and Board of Directors (BoD) from our partner organizations gathered at the AIM CONFERENCE CENTER in Makati City. Building on our commitment to organizational resilience against digital threats, this 1-day onsite session shifted the focus to the strategic level.
Throughout the session, leaders learned to reframe the perception of cybersecurity from a mere technical expenditure to a fundamental business risk and enabler. We tackled the profound financial and reputational repercussions of data breaches, encompassing potential penalties under the Data Privacy Act (DPA) and the erosion of customer trust.
The highlight of the training included a dedicated risk assessment methodology activity, which facilitated the identification and prioritization of each company's most critical assets against myriad threats. Participants also gained vital insights into dynamic, evolving cyber threatsβspecifically the susceptibility of high-value individuals to advanced social engineering attacks. Together, we delineated a strategic pathway for maturation, moving the sector from a "reactive" to an "anticipatory" security stance.
A total of 23 participants joined us for this session, representing 13 of our valued partners: Ahon Sa Hirap, Inc., ALALAY SA KAUNLARAN INC (ASKI), ASA Philippines Foundation, CARD Bank, Inc., CARD Inc., CARD MRI, CARD MRI RIZAL BANK, Inc., CARD SME Bank, Inc., ECLOF Philippines Microfinance, Inc. (EPMI), K- COOP, Kabalikat Para sa Maunlad na Buhay, Inc. (KMBI), Rural Bank of Guinobatan, Inc., and San Basilio Multipurpose Cooperative (SBMPC).
