Rev Fr Anton CT Pascual summarizes the definition of what prayerfulness and discernment is, according to church tradition - “prayer is raising our hearts and minds to God”; and “discernment is the fruit of genuine prayer life”. To grow in our prayer life and relationship with the Lord is part of our Core Value which makes us uniquely Serviam.

Listen to him as he expounds these values in his homily.

Approaching God Confidently
in Prayer
November 11, 2025 | 7:30 PM
Layforce Chapel, San Carlos Seminary, Makati City

Approaching God with confidence is possible through faith in Jesus Christ, who serves as a high priest providing access to God's grace. This confidence comes from understanding that through Christ, one can receive mercy and grace, knowing that God accepts believers because of Jesus's righteousness, not their own. To approach God confidently, one should pray, understand His loving heart, surrender control, and pray according to His will. While approaching Him with confidence, remember to also come with humility, reverence, and respect for who God is.

Join us for our Corporate Worship with Bro/Sis Rodel & Joyce Cailan as Worship Leaders. Rev Fr Ramil D Tapang SSP will also give a talk on the topic.

See you all this Tuesday!

Prayerfulness - The Way to Seek Divine Will
November 4, 2025 | 7:30 PM
Layforce Chapel, San Carlos Seminary, Makati City

Prayerfulness and discernment are inseparably linked. Prayerfulness is communicating with God through prayer, characterized by sincerity and attentive listening. Discernment is the ability to make wise and holy judgments, distinguishing between truth and deception. Together, prayerful discernment uses prayer and other spiritual discipline to seek divine guidance and choices aligned with God’s will.

Come and join us for Eucharistic Celebration to be officiated by Rev. Fr. Anton CT Pascual, Spiritual Director of Serviam Community.

Join us us too as we remember and pray for the eternal rest of the souls of our dearly departed. May they rest in peace.

God’s Wisdom Brings True Peace; Trust it
October 28, 2025 |7:30 pm
San Carlos Seminary, Layforce Chapel, Makati City

We invite you to join us in corporate worship, as we come together to draw strength and healing from God and to be filled with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Shell Vibal will lead us in worship with the topic: God’s Wisdom Brings True Peace; Trust It, supported by our Scriptural verse,“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17)

Let us seek God’s wisdom that calms our hearts, restores unity, and leads us into the fullness of His peace.

In an age flooded with misinformation and fake news, it can be hard to know what is the truth. Today, many see truth as subjective—but as Christians, we believe that God’s truth is absolute. It is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit through the gift of divine wisdom, generously given to all who ask.

Join us as Ding Sanchez shares an enlightening and insightful reflection on the difference between godly and worldly wisdom, and how applying God’s wisdom helps us discern His will and purpose for our lives. To walk in His wisdom is to follow Jesus Christ—the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Divine Wisdom Leads to the Ultimate Truth; Follow it

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth...”
(John 16:13)

We joyfully invite you to come together in corporate worship, to lift our hearts in prayer and praise, and to be guided by the Spirit of God into His truth. Our Worship Leader is Gina Hernandez and our Bible Reflectionist is Ding Sanchez who will reflect on the topic: Divine Wisdom Leads to the Ultimate Truth; Follow It.

Let us open ourselves to the Spirit’s leading as we share God’s word in Care Circles, allowing divine wisdom to shape our lives and direct our paths toward God’s eternal truth.
Together, let us follow the way of Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

We welcome you to listen to an enlightening teaching of Fr. Rany Geraldino on Wisdom is a Gift of the Holy Spirit — Receive It with a Humble Heart.

Wisdom is not achieved but received — a divine gift from the Holy Spirit, allowing us to see life through God’s eyes. It is not intellect or knowledge but love and truth revealed to the humble. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10).

Like Mary, the Seat of Wisdom, we receive it by humility and prayer. When the Spirit fills us, wisdom transforms fear into courage and knowledge into love. To grow in wisdom, live the sacraments, trust God, stay teachable, and serve with a humble heart.

For when we have wisdom we truly have everything. Are we ready to receive it?

Listen to an inspiring homily by Fr. Moks on our core value for the month — Wisdom.

He reminds us that "the antidote to fear is to put the foundation of our faith on wisdom." The beginning of wisdom is: get wisdom - a divine command from Proverbs 4:7 and it is a choice and an effort we must make to gather and get.

Godly wisdom is not mere knowledge but the skill of living righteously. If we are to invest in anything, let it be in Wisdom — the essential of life and foundation of our faith.

“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” (Matthew 11: 25)

We invite you to join us in corporate worship as one community of faith, to receive God’s grace and be renewed in spirit. Our Worship Leader is Dr. Maritoni Abbario, and our Teacher is the Rev. Fr. Rany Geraldino who will expound on our topic for the week: Wisdom is a Gift of the Holy Spirit; Receive it with a Humble Heart.

Let us gather in childlike humility, seeking the Spirit’s gift of wisdom that guides us to live faithfully and serve wholeheartedly.
Together, let us worship, pray, and be formed as servant leaders filled with God’s wisdom and humility.
