Sunday & Sunshine's Raincoat Project

Sunday & Sunshine's Raincoat Project One little raincoat can make a difference in a child's education. Education is their ticket out of poverty. Every Filipino child deserves an education.

In the rural Philippines, a public schoolkid will walk an average of at least 3 kilometers to go to school, every single day. With economic factors already limiting the chances of a child to go to school, inclement weather is another obstacle preventing a child from going to school. While most of us urban folks would wish for school or work to be suspended on a rainy day, children in rural areas,

especially those who know that education is their ticket out of poverty, would wish to be able to go to school - come hell or high water, literally. Sunday & Sunshine's Raincoat Project is a personal endeavour that aims to provide public school children in rural areas raincoats that will help them brave the rains and go to school every day. And a little raincoat can go a long way.
