AACEP Successfully Holds its 7th National Convention in Collaboration with PDCB

CPES Milestones, Reforms, and the Road Ahead Take Center Stage
The Association of Accredited CPES Evaluators of the Philippines (AACEP), Inc., in close collaboration with the Philippine Domestic Construction Board (PDCB), successfully concluded its 7th National Convention, gathering a nationwide audience of 400 participants, composed of evaluators, technical experts, agency representatives, and distinguished guests. The event served as platform to celebrate milestones, share best practices, and set the course for the future of the Constructors’ Performance Evaluation System (CPES).

This year’s event underscored the continued commitment of AACEP and PDCB to enhancing transparency, accountability, and performance in public infrastructure delivery. The number seven, symbolizing completeness and renewal, was a fitting mark for this year’s gathering. Highlighted in the event were the CPES breakthrough milestones in the recent years, one of which is the landmark inclusion of CPES in the New Government Procurement Act (RA 12009)—a clear affirmation of CPES as a tool for good governance.

Resource speakers from the DPWH, BSP, NIA, and the NHA shared institutional best practices on deployment of cross-regional evaluation teams, utilization of digital tools, structured feedback systems, and recognition of top-performing contractors, among others.

The new set of AACEP officers, avowed to continue advocating for excellence in CPES implementation and evaluator empowerment—reaffirming the association’s central role in upholding standards and fostering innovation.
