The Philippines recorded 4.11 million foreign tourist arrivals from January to August 2026, an improvement from last year but still below pre-pandemic levels, according to Philippine Hotel Owners Association Executive Director B**g Bengzon.

Bengzon said tourism growth is currently coming from short-haul markets such as Korea, Japan and China, while the U.S., largely composed of Filipino-American visitors, is the country’s top market.
