With hearts united in service and faith, the Rotary Club of Makati Ayala West extended its support to the summer catechism activities of the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora Dela Merced in Taysan Batangas, through the donation of 800 rosaries last April 30, 2026.

These rosaries were lovingly shared with young participants aged 5 to 18 years old who actively joined the parish’s summer catechism program, guided and facilitated by the dedicated catechists of the parish.

The outreach reached a total of 34 chapels within Taysan, touching the hearts of many children and helping nurture their faith, prayer life, and spiritual growth.

Through simple acts of generosity and compassion, the project became a meaningful reminder that service rooted in faith can inspire hope and strengthen communities, especially among the youth.

The Rotary Four-Way Test: A Guiding Principle for All

Date: December 8, 2025

As part of strengthening Rotary’s public image and promoting its core values within the community, the Rotary Club of Makati Ayala West proudly supported the installation of the Rotary Four-Way Test at the entrance of Yellow Bell Resort in Taysan, Batangas, owned by UGP Tita Reyes.

Unveiled on December 8, 2025, the display serves as a powerful reminder of the ethical principles that guide Rotarians in their personal and professional lives. Positioned prominently at the resort’s entrance, the message is visible to guests, visitors, and members of the local community, encouraging reflection on the timeless questions that define integrity and responsible action.

The Rotary Four-Way Test, which asks:
Is it the Truth?
Is it Fair to All Concerned?
Will it Build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
Will it be Beneficial to All Concerned?
continues to inspire individuals to live by values that promote honesty, fairness, goodwill, and service.

By placing this meaningful message in a public space, the initiative helps introduce Rotary’s guiding principles to a wider audience. It strengthens Rotary’s presence in the area and serves as a fine yet powerful way to expand the organization’s reach, inviting more people to learn about Rotary and its mission of Service Above Self.

Through initiatives like this, the Rotary Club of Makati Ayala West demonstrates its commitment to sharing Rotary values beyond meetings and projects — ensuring that the spirit of service, integrity, and unity continues to inspire communities.

🌱 Planting Hope and Sustainability in Taysan, Batangas

The Rotary Club of Makati Ayala West (RCMAW) successfully conducted a meaningful Tree Planting Activity on May 6, 2026, in Sto. Niño, Taysan, Batangas, as part of its continuing commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.

The activity gathered Rotary members together with the club’s new incoming members, promoting not only environmental stewardship but also fellowship and service above self.

The event served as an opportunity for new members to actively participate in a hands-on community project that reflects the values and mission of Rotary.

Fruit-bearing tree seedlings planted during the activity were generously provided by the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Plant Industry, supporting the initiative’s goal of creating long-term environmental and economic benefits for the community.

The planted seedlings are expected to contribute to greener surroundings while also becoming future sources of food and livelihood for local residents.

Through collective effort and community participation, the activity highlighted the importance of protecting the environment and inspiring future generations to care for nature.

Rotary members, volunteers, and local residents worked side by side in planting trees that symbolize hope, growth, and sustainability.

The Rotary Club of Makati Ayala West continues to strengthen its commitment to impactful and sustainable service projects that create lasting change in communities.
