Behind every beautifully packaged woven clutches that sell and had sold for the last several years were the women of . Michael’s Lingap Center in .

Unassuming, humble, charismatic and cheerful too, these ladies craft beautiful woven products that started from foot rugs.

This group of makers won’t be at their best without the untiring dedication of St. Michael’s College’s Miss Acierto. We were witness to this creative lady’s support all throughout these years. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

While has not been officially certified as Fair Trade, our organization had been earnestly practicing and advocating as many as the NGO is capable of , of the 10 Fair Trade Principles.

We still do, until we finally close doors. 🫶🏻🩷🫶🏻

His full name is very celebrity-like , same as you see in the old movies : Fernando Regalado

For 16 years, he’s “Mang Nanding” to all of us.

Hardworking. Trustworthy, and loving to his family.

We had seen it all in the last almost 16 years in G&G.

When the world was starting to gradually transition to the digital age and its potentials in amplifying an advocacy, it was a group of student volunteers from (I hope our memory’s accurate 😁) who helped us to ease in our presence in social media. Yes, we had the platforms even before then but we weren’t consistent tbh. 😅

Before we close down the curtains of G&G, we’d like to give a shoutout to Monique Ampil and her friends who had been great in sincerely supporting us in the early years of SMM.

You guys rock!

The old logo of Gifts and Graces often had people mistook us for a religious organization in the past. We had angel wings using the typeface G and its inverted version. Our tagline then was “Gifts that lift the spirit.” ( A shopping addict would happily adopt this as her/his mantra! 😁).

Add to that, one of our earlier products were rosaries made from upcycled magazine pages! ☦️

Then there were the volunteers.

From the rebrand foundation laid out previously by the Team , the intertwined hands forming a heart and a fresh tagline , “Mde by Hand. Made with Heart.”, the G&G branding was further enhanced by clearer messaging of who we are and what we stand for. ( Those colored post-its really helped us filter what mattered most to us. 🙂)

The 3M group of experts from the different parts of the world, brainstormed in our tiny office and eventually gave us the brand aesthetic and messaging we are now currently using.

Until we finally close doors.

( *It wasn’t only the rebranding that the team did for us, they had also put order and logic in our inventory system. They patiently tutored our old admin officer on this.)🙂🙏💜

All through the almost 19 years of Gifts & Graces, many generous volunteers had gone through our doors.

One of them is the women-strong group from . From re-branding to providing templates and guides in conducting capability-workshops for our partner communities, these ladies were forever part of the continuing transformation of our NGO , we fondly nicknamed G&G.
