The Political Science Society extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. John Patrick Pineda for his contribution to scholarly research through his published chapter, "Benjamin Magalongโ€™s Reformist Hopes and Political Realities in Baguio Cityโ€, in the book Interregnum: Progressive and Reform Politics in the Age of Authoritarian Nostalgia, edited by Dr. Julio Teehankee.

This publication forms part of a collaborative project between the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance of De La Salle University and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, which examines the role of progressive and reform-oriented political actors in the 2025 Philippine elections.

In response to the reported fire occurrence in Pulong Kendi, Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig City, and other UMAK students have been affected by this terrible incident. The Office of the Vice President (OVP) will launch "๐Ÿฑ ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ผ๐˜€ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ ๐—ธ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ป" to support pupils affected by the fire catastrophe.

In these difficult times, we encourage everyone to provide a helping hand by providing in-kind donations and monetary contributions of any amount. Every act of compassion counts, and no donation is too small to assist our fellow Herons recover and rebuild.

The OVP will also provide regular updates regarding the progress of the donation drive, collected donations, and distribution efforts to ensure transparency and keep the community informed throughout this initiative.
