Are you still living in your parent's basement? Renting since forever? Well, I've been renting ever since I started working by the age of 19 in La Union since my father is from Manila, mom is from Pangasinan and my closest relatives are in Baguio and Cavite. I was practically out of my comfort zones for my first ever job and I stayed for a good 10 years there as a tenant of 2 bedspaces and eventua
lly 2 apartments and a townhouse. Now that I am back in Manila, I just can't handle the daily ride from Cavite to Makati whether driving or commuting. I just could not make any sense of the 2 to 3 hours travel and having to sleep late then wake up so early, hugely because more than half of travel time in Metro Manila is spent in slow and standstill traffic. I was just so used to my daily grind that is chill since there's rarely a heavy traffic back in the province. Currently renting now in Makati but last year, I made a decision to invest in a condo with 2 of my high school classmates. Now this is still a pre-selling (not yet started or still under construction) condo. I will have to wait until year 2019 plus the fact that we bought it to eventually rent out to students who would be studying in the the Diliman QC area. I have always been on the lookout for that home I can finally call my own and I know some friends who are also still renting and do not know that they can already buy their own place if they just research and do some financial adjustments and lifestyle discipline. If you can relate to me or you have been thinking about this too, then let's help each other in hunting our FIRST EVER HOME. Let's discuss the possibilities, options, budget--of course BUDGET is the most important thing to consider here. Location location location! Who are the good and the bad developers/builders? There are too many agents out there, how do we know if the one we're talking to will be there for us not only when we finally give our hard-earned money for the downpayment but will make sure that we are not missing important details of the transaction, can answer our questions honestly and knows us until the day our FIRST-EVER HOME's key is handed to us by the developer? These are just some of the many things we can discuss that affect our home-hunting and property-buying journey.
