Damaged pipelines, disrupted water sources, and a failed transformer affected the municipality's water system, leaving many families without reliable access to water. Through close collaboration with the Glan Water District, Action Against Hunger Philippines supported the rehabilitation of critical water infrastructure, helping restore services and accelerate recovery for affected communities.

Healthy growth starts with access to the right care, support, and services from an early age. 💙

Working with UNICEF Philippines, Action Against Hunger Philippines is helping bring essential health and nutrition services closer to children and families in 📍Maguindanao del Sur. This is made possible through the funding support of the Government of the Republic of Korea, through Korea International Cooperation Agency Philippines - KOICA 필리핀사무소.

Together with health workers, local government units, community leaders, and Child Development Center workers, we supported Vitamin A Supplementation and Deworming activities in selected Child Development Centers, helping make preventive health services more accessible to young children.

Because when health and nutrition services are accessible, children have a stronger start to healthy growth and development. ✨

For the past two and a half years, Sonie has been deployed to multiple emergencies each year, often leaving at short notice to support communities affected by disasters.

From growing up in a conflict-affected community to becoming a participant in one of Action Against Hunger’s trainings, her journey eventually came full circle as she found herself helping deliver the same kind of support to others.
