In the year 2010, Philippine Bus Photographers Association (PBPA) was started with the goal of being an Internet hangout for people who share a passion in bus enthusiasm and photography. The group was no more than a few people swapping bus-related stories and sharing precious bus photos. Now

, in 10 years of existing, PBPA has grown beyond what it originally was. Our numbers grew, and so did our purpose. While bus photography has always been the staple of our group, we have expanded into new horizons over the years. We have established rapport among some of the industry's small players and big names alike; reached out to the wider commuting community through our updates; shared our knowledge through various means, including the short-lived Know Your Bus; and supported the industry's programs as much as we can. For today and beyond, you can expect us to do our best and bring something new for you. We have plans to improve your experience with us, and reach out to more and more people so that we can show the beauty of buses and the bus enthusiasm hobby. Philippine Bus Photographers Association

New ride, new connection.

HM Transport, Inc. has officially entered service on the Calamba to Baguio route, strengthening connectivity between the hometown of Rizal and the Summer Capital of the Philippines. As one of Luzon's growing provincial corridors, the route offers passengers another travel option that directly links Southern Luzon to the Northern Luzon.

Travelers can choose between the Express service which takes around 6 hours for a slightly higher fare, or the Inner Cities service which takes around 8 hours, passing through more towns in the North, for a lesser fare. One notable advantage of both services is the onboard restroom, which adds comfort throughout the long journey.

The riding experience feels familiar to what passengers may already expect from other deluxe provincial services. Still, HM Transport's branding and presence on the route gives the service its own identity as it strengthens connectivity between Southern Luzon and the Cordilleras.

Increasingly noticeable is the growing number of partnerships, collaborations, and operational arrangements among bus companies. These initiatives may appear simple on the surface, but they represent an important step toward improving the Philippines' public transportation system. Through cooperation, routes become more accessible, services become more efficient, and passengers gain better travel options.

Transportation has always been about more than simply point A and B. It carries endless possibilities—connecting communities, opening opportunities, and bringing people closer to places once considered distant. Sometimes, all it takes is the beginning of a new transportation venture to create new paths for progress.

Unahklarizze Transport Corporation has introduced its new addition to their fleet, a Higer KLQ6122D "Dreamscape," but what makes this unique, it's a double decker bus.

It entered service on May 17, 2026 for its PITX - Guiuan, Eastern Samar route, making it by far the longest bus route in the Philippines served by a double decker bus. The last time there was a double decker provincial bus, it used to operate from Manila to Northern Luzon from almost 2 decades ago. Double decker buses in the Philippines are usually found as sightseeing bus, city bus, or more recently, a P2P bus and tourist transport service bus.

This new addition to Unahklarizze's fleet will catch a lot of attention on the road as double decker buses are seen as a novelty, especially in provincial roads and the impossible to cross two islands, Luzon and Samar Islands, via RORO ferry is now possible.

New Kid in Town

Recently, EMC LBS Bus Lines announced the arrival of their newest units on their page, and surprisingly, the company opted for Zhongtong Bus units instead of its usual Yutong buses. This latest addition from the “Bus ng Bayan” proves that the company is more than capable of keeping up with the industry’s major players by continuously introducing modern and competitive units to its fleet.

These units feature a 2x2 seating configuration with charging ports and an onboard restroom—putting them on par with their competitors in terms of modernization, comfort, and convenience.

These new buses are currently assigned to the Cagayan-Quezon City route.

Looking forward to seeing more of these beasts on the road!

Something electrifying is coming to Gilmore!

Eight new electric buses from the e-QCity Bus fleet underwent test runs across different QCity Bus routes last Friday, May 8, in preparation for their official deployment. These buses will serve the Route 6 (Quezon City Hall to Gilmore) starting tomorrow, May 11, further expanding the city’s move toward cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable public transportation for QCitizens.

These additional electric buses are expected to enhance the commuting experience along one of Quezon City’s busiest areas. Likewise, the expansion of the e-QCity Bus fleet to more routes reflects the local government's continuous efforts to modernize urban mobility while promoting greener transport solutions within the city.

Full video coming soon!
