Day one of the UAP - 51st National Convention (UAP NatCon51) was a mix of professional growth and vibrant celebration as the delegates officially kicked off the main festivities on April 16, 2026!

The morning was all about servant leadership, as the dedicated UAP Makati CBD Chapter Officers facilitated the distribution of UAP IDs to its members, ensuring everyone was ready for the coming convention days.

To further elevate the practice of architecture, the day featured insightful CPD seminars, providing attendees with valuable learning opportunities and credit units to keep the professional standards at their peak.

As the day ended, the camaraderie continued over a hearty dinner hosted by one of the chapter's generous industry partners, Filhome Builders. It was a wonderful time for the members to connect, share ideas, and strengthen the ties with the partners who help make the chapter's visions a reality.

The celebration carried on into the evening with a lively Fellowship Night hosted by Davies Paints, themed “Groove Night!” Architects filled the venue with energy as they danced and celebrated together, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

SMX Convention Center — Today, April 18, we celebrated the 17th Member Emeritus Conferment, honoring the legacy and service of 105 distinguished architects for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.

We are incredibly proud to see our very own Past Chapter President, Ar. Victor “Jun” G. Cham, Jr., euap, among this year’s honorees.

As he accepted his accolades alongside his wife and fellow CBD member, Ar. Catherine Cham, and Chapter President Ar. John Michael Elritz Gallo, the screen highlighted his visionary foundation and commitment to mentorship:

“For me, ‘good design’ is never an accident. It is the result of three things: pragmatic solutions, personal accentuation, and a deep commitment to valuing the community. To the young aspiring architects here: you must be aggressive and proactive. Architecture is a pursuit of limitless knowledge. Do not be distracted by the ‘short route’ to financial success. True architecture requires perseverance. It demands Diligence, Focus, Fortitude, and Humility.”

Day Zero of the UAP - 51st National Convention (UAP NatCon51) officially commenced on April 15, 2026, marked by a series of simultaneous events—from the much-anticipated Annual Arkilympics to the Chapter Presidents Assembly and the National Board of Directors Meeting.

The UAP Arkilympics 2026 brought together architects from across the nation—Area A, Area B, Area C, and Area D—in a celebration of unity, teamwork, and camaraderie through sports. The spirit of friendly competition was alive as participants showcased both skill and sportsmanship.

We proudly recognize our chapter representatives who excelled in their respective events:

🏐 Ar. Aila Villablanca – Champion, Volleyball Event (The Playground by Cloverleaf)
🏸 Ar. Alex Peña & Ar. Arjay Masilang – Champions, Badminton Event (MET Parks Sports Center)

Their outstanding performances led our team to victory, securing championship titles in both categories.

Meanwhile, at the SMX Convention Meeting Rooms, the Chapter Presidents Assembly took place. Representing the chapter was Ar. Demar Talplacido, Vice President for Programs and Development, who attended in behalf of the Chapter President. The session included a NatCon briefing and the distribution of UAP member IDs.

The day concluded with the National Board of Directors Meeting, attended by our Past Chapter President and current Area B Vice President, Ar. Vanessa Ledesma. The meeting focused on aligning plans and initiatives in preparation for the upcoming convention activities.

A strong and inspiring start to NatCon 51!

UAP Makati CBD proudly congratulates its Past Chapter President, Ar. Murielle N. Gallardo-Cristobal, for being recognized as this year's UAP Outstanding Local-based Member!

​In addition, the Chapter celebrates one of its Directors, Ar. Marlu Calderon, for winning the UAP Outstanding New Member Award for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.

These accolades were presented during the UAP National Awards at the 51st UAP National Convention.

​The Outstanding Local-based Member Award recognizes an individual who has exemplified excellence in the field of architecture, demonstrated exceptional initiative in Chapter programs, and rendered laudable contributions to the profession while supporting the core thrusts of the Integrated and Accredited Professional Organization of Architects (IAPOA).

​Similarly, the Outstanding New Member Award honors a member who has been in the profession for no more than three years but has already made significant contributions to the architectural field, the professional practice, and the professional organization.

​Please be guided by the schedule and process for the release of UAP IDs:

​When: April 16, 2026 | 7:30 am - 8:30 am
Where: The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf - SMX Convention Center
(The Board of Directors will announce in the Viber GC for any venue changes.)

Important Note:

Kindly check the attached list to confirm if your ID is ready for pick-up. Please be advised that only IDs included in the current list will be available for distribution by the Chapter Board of Directors. Should your name be missing from the list, visit the NatCon SMX Registration Booth.

Your UAP ID will act as your Official ID for upcoming National Events such as Natcon 51.

Furthermore, the incoming Chapter Board of Directors for Fiscal Year 2026–2027 was formally presented by COMELEC Deputy Chairman and Past Chapter President Ar. Rodolfo R. Bongato. The following leaders will spearhead the chapter’s activities and initiatives in for Fiscal Year 2026 - 2027
