The Filipino-American Memorial Endowment Incorporated (FAME) is a non-stock, non-profit foundation established in the Philippines and the United States by business executives and veterans. Founded in 1986 under the auspices of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. FAME, Inc is solely supported by donations with an all-volunteer Board and Advisory Councils
FAME's mission is to
help preserve and maintain tangible reminders of the shared values for which Americans, Filipinos and their allies fought side-by-side in World War II. FAME's objective is NOT to build new memorials but to raise funds in order to help maintain existing monuments dedicated in memory of the Filipino-American cooperation during World War II. FAME works with like-minded individuals, companies and organizations, serving as a catalyst to effect any repairs, renovation or refurbishment necessary to keep these monuments a fitting memorial to those who survived and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. FAME's objective is NOT to build new memorials but to raise funds in order to help maintain existing monuments dedicated in memory of the Filipino-American cooperation during World War II. FAME is tasked with the responsibility of coordinating the maintenance of various monuments and memorials throughout the Philippines, as funds permit. Acts as coordinator for the following :
WWII boxcar, Capas National Shrine (with Philippine Military Shrines Services)
Balanga Surrender Site - Bataan (with Provincial Government)
Dalton Pass Memorial - Nueva Ecija (with Provincial Government)
Leyte Landing Memorial - Leyte (with Provincial Government)
Lingayen Landing Memorial - Pangasinan (with Provincial Government)
American Military Cemeteries - Baguio City (with Baguio VFW Post)
Your donations are tax deductible. FAME is a Sec. 501(c)(3) organization exempt from tax under US Internal Revenue Service Code, Federal Tax ID #31-1216785.
