As industries continue to evolve in the era of Industry 4.0, equipping workers with future-ready skills has become more important than ever. Through the QuEST (Quality Education and Skills Transformation) for Workforce Development Program, Unilab Foundation, DOST-MIRDC, and ICCP Group Foundation Inc. (IGFI) are working together to capacitate the Philippine manufacturing workforce with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing industrial landscape.
The second batch of the Introduction to Additive Manufacturing Training brought together engineers, technicians, supervisors, HR professionals, and IT personnel from locator companies in Light Industry and Science Park II (LISP II), Calamba, Laguna. Participants gained foundational knowledge in 3D printing technologies, explored real-world industrial applications, and experienced live demonstrations that showcased the potential of additive manufacturing to drive innovation, efficiency, and problem-solving in the workplace.
More than a technical training, the program reflects IGFI’s commitment to fostering a workforce that is adaptable, skilled, and ready for the opportunities of the future. The enthusiasm of participants, coupled with measurable improvements in learning outcomes and strong interest in advanced training, highlights the growing demand for emerging technologies across Philippine industries.
Through initiatives like QuEST for WorkDev, IGFI continues to champion workforce development that empowers people, strengthens industries, and creates pathways for sustainable growth. By investing in skills, innovation, and lifelong learning today, we are helping build a manufacturing sector that is ready for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
