Through Physics Meetup, Dr. Bucayong connected rural learners with world-leading scientists, while her patented 3D Instructional Apparatus invention for Vector Operations made complex concepts tangible inside the classroom.

PBBM Awards the Medallion of Excellence to the 2026 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos

On September 29, 2026, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. presided over the Awarding of the Medallion of Excellence to the 2026 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos in a formal ceremony at the Ceremonial Hall of the Malacaรฑan Palace.

In his address, President Marcos emphasized that nation-building is not confined to high office, but is carried out daily in classrooms, institutions, and communities across the nation. Celebrating the awardees' lifelong dedication, he noted, "Each chose a life of service and remained committed to it throughout all these years. And the value of that service can be seen in what they leave behind: stronger institutions, safer communities, [and] lives changed for the better."

Presented in partnership with the Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, PSBank, Rotary Club of Makati Metro, and Rotary Club of New Manila East, this national award honors public servants whose work expands opportunities, strengthens communities, and inspires hope for a better Philippines.

An exclusive exhibition tour for our teachers this National Teachers' Month!๐ŸŽจโœจ

To offer a refreshing break from the classroom, we invited teachers from DepEd Lakandula Elementary School, Florentino Torres High School - Official, and La Consolacion College-Caloocan to exclusive museum tours. The itinerary featured the 2026 Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) exhibition, : Creativity in Motion, at the Museum of Manila. Organized with support of the Arts and Culture Committee of the League of Corporate Foundations - LCF, this initiative is our small way of celebrating the teachers who shape excellence in every generation.

This National Teachers' Month, we honor the 2026 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos Teacher, Ms. Sheila Marie Amigo, "Zamboanga Sibugay's Trailblazer in Transformative and Compassionate Learning". Through DULA (Dynamic Utilization of Learning by Amusement), Ms. Amigo transformed Physics lessons into engaging, hands-on activities using games, experiments, and student-built learning tools.

Metrobank Foundation annually recognizes 10 outstanding Filipinos for exceptional dedication to their professions and communities. The awardees comprise four (4) teachers, three (3) soldiers and three (3) police officers who exemplify patriotism, integrity, courage and social responsibility.

The annual program is carried out in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank), Rotary Club of Makati Metro and Rotary Club of New Manila East.
