Jhomar Cordial started as a Batch 6 Fitter Machinist scholar of the Propeller Club of Manila.

After graduating and spending three years working onboard, he decided to save, stay focused, and go back to school. He pursued a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation degree and worked his way forward. Today, he is a Third Officer at Grieg Shipping.

Being the first scholar to officially become a member, Jhomar is giving back in a bigger way. He is committed to supporting the Club's mission of "ALLEVIATING POVERTY THROUGH SKILLS TRAINING", the same mission that helped him build a better life for himself and his family.

The Propeller Club of Manila, together with our valued members, guests, and supporters, celebrated Christmas Lunch at Dohle Haus Manila, graciously hosted and sponsored by Dohle Shipmanagement Phils., Inc.

Adding to the festive spirit, our Batch 26 scholars delighted everyone with song and dance performances that filled the venue with cheers and positive energy.

The Propeller Club of Manila welcomes its Batch 26 Fitter Machinist scholars, composed of 25 young adults from communities across the Philippines who are now taking their first step toward a brighter future.

With equal sponsorship from the TK Foundation and Holland America Line, the Club will provide full support for their studies and training, covering the full tuition fee at Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati, food, accommodation, school supplies, PPEs, on-the-job training requirements at the local shipyard, and assistance in securing employment onboard an international vessel after graduation.

As they begin their training, the Club looks forward to nurturing their potential and guiding them to become skilled individuals who will make meaningful contributions to the maritime industry and society.

Each scholar carries a story of perseverance and aspiration to uplift themselves and their families. The Club, together with its members, partners, and supporters, remains committed to supporting their pursuit of a purpose and a stable future.

Together, we can make a difference.

Attention All Hands: Another wave of giving back has arrived!

Batch 22 scholar Dominic Ian Dungog, currently on vacation, dropped by the dorm to bring his donation, along with snacks for the batch 25 scholars.

We're fortunate that Trustee Aart Broek, Jonathan Wharmby, and Lanie San Juan visited the dorm on the same day.

Now, this is the kind of wave we're always happy to catch, one that keeps our organization strong and united!

The Propeller Club of Manila took part in the Sea Sunday Service celebration organized by the Sailor's Society and generously sponsored by Pandiman Philippines.

The event was held at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Makati City, where a special mass was celebrated in honor of seafarers around the world.

This year's celebration carried a particularly solemn tone, with special prayers offered for the crews of Eternity C and Magic Seas - recently attacked by Houthis in the Red Sea. Such incidents serve as a reminder of the risks and dangers that seafarers face in the line of duty.

The Propeller Club of Manila stands in solidarity with the families affected and remains committed to advocating for the safety, dignity, and well-being of those who serve at sea.
