Exactly a month ago today, on March 1, BPW BGC was honored to take part in the Salute to a Clean Flag Movement and the opening of National Women’s Month at Rizal Park.

Observed every March in the Philippines in line with International Women’s Day, this month is a time to acknowledge the enduring contributions of women across sectors and to reaffirm our shared commitment to equity, accountability, and principled leadership.

We were privileged to join this meaningful gathering alongside distinguished women leaders, including Monique Cornelio Pronove of the Salute to a Clean Flag Movement; Cecille A. Lorenzana, Executive Director III of the National Parks Development Committee; Carminda R. Arevalo, Executive Director of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines; and Conchita Carpio-Morales, Retired Supreme Court Associate Justice and Former Ombudsman, whose leadership continues to exemplify integrity and public accountability.

We are also proud to share that BPW BGC members and advisers were present as flag bearers, taking part in a moment that reflects shared responsibility and commitment to the values upheld by the movement.

As we close this month, we hope to carry forward its message by continuing to support women who lead with purpose, uphold accountability, and contribute meaningfully to the communities they serve.

Yesterday, BPW BGC held its first Fireside Series, Many Hats, One Purpose, and it was a privilege to learn from Dr. Catherine Teh. She is a true trailblazer, leading with passion, precision, and an extraordinary commitment to her craft. Her story reminded us of what it means to be not only excellent in one’s field but also deeply human and purposeful in the way we show up.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Teh for sharing her journey with such sincerity, and to Dr. Christine for opening the evening with warmth and intention. The honesty, openness, and quiet strength in the room made the night feel truly special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to the next Fireside and to creating more moments that inspire, empower, and bring women together.

Kicking off 2025 with a clear vision and a strong purpose! The BPW BGC board convened at Corso Como 88 for our first official meeting of the year, aligning our goals and strategies to continue fostering meaningful initiatives that empower and uplift women in business and leadership.

Last December 7, 2024, BPW BGC came together to celebrate our annual Christmas Party in the beautiful and stylish space of Corso Como at One Ayala, thanks to its owner and BPW BGC's very own member, Imelda.

The night was filled with joy and camaraderie as we took a moment to reflect on our journey over the past year, celebrating our achievements and the meaningful connections we’ve built. We also shared an exciting glimpse of what lies ahead in 2025, fueling our collective vision for empowering women and making a difference. The group was also fortunate to have the inspiring presence of Ambassador Delia Albert, who graced the event with her wisdom and warmth.

It was truly a night of gratitude, celebration, and hope for an even brighter future. Here’s to closing the year on a high note and welcoming 2025 with open hearts and ambitious spirits! 🎄✨🥂
