The 3-day workshop aimed to empower 34 youth leaders to explore the role of women and gender in addressing pressing issues in the education sector, particularly within the Philippine context.

This year, WeSolve Foundation served as the implementing partners of the Ramon Magsaysay Transformative Leadership Institute (RMTLI). WeSolve Fellows Paula Apines, Jodit Santander, Jan Sagdullas, Jesh Villasis, and Daniel Benito designed, facilitated, and led the Monitoring and Evaluation Learning Session on Day 2, the Design Thinking Workshop on Day 3, and the closing synthesis sessions for all three days.

The program offered comprehensive personal mentorship, advocacy training, and an action-oriented leadership platform to advance women’s roles in improving the education sector.

Congratulations to all the youth delegates and our partners from RMTLI on the success of the 3-day workshop! ✨

On April 9, 1942, over 76,000 Filipino and American soldiers in Bataan surrendered to Japanese forces.

As captives, the soldiers were forced to endure six days and 140 kilometers of the Bataan Death March, which started in Bataan and ended in Capas, Tarlac. April 9 marked the first of the six days.

Today, we commemorate the lives of the heroes who fought for the Philippines in World War II—from the Fall of Bataan to the resistance in Corregidor.
