The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Phil.) Inc. (FICCI), represented by its Vice President for International Relations, Capt. Vedant Bhardwaj, had the privilege of meeting H.E. Senen T. Mangalile, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh.

The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen trade, investment, business and people-to-people connectivity between the Philippines, India and Cambodia, with the Philippines serving as a bridge for greater Indian business engagement across ASEAN.

Capt. Bhardwaj briefed His Excellency on FICCI Philippines' initiatives, including the recently concluded ASEANโ€“India Business Forum (AIBF) 2026 in Manila, and FICCI Philippinesโ€™ efforts to build stronger institutional and business-to-business linkages across the ASEAN region.

The discussion also covered the Embassyโ€™s planned trade exhibition in March 2027, marking the 70th anniversary of Philippinesโ€“Cambodia diplomatic relations. FICCI Philippines expressed its support and interest in encouraging participation from the Filipino-Indian business community.

FICCI Philippines expressed its strong interest in supporting the Embassyโ€™s initiative and in encouraging participation from the Filipino-Indian business community, while also exploring opportunities to connect Indian businesses and investors with Cambodian and Philippine counterparts.

The discussion also explored opportunities for greater cooperation in trade and investment, aviation and logistics, tourism, agriculture, education and business exchanges, as well as closer engagement among chambers of commerce and private-sector organizations in the three countries.

As the Philippines serves as ASEAN Chair in 2026, FICCI Philippines remains committed to strengthening its regional engagement and contributing to deeper economic connectivity between India, the Philippines, Cambodia and the wider ASEAN community.
