Ayala Foundation, in partnership with BANG-ON Collective and Kontempo Community Studio, brought together students and residents from nearby barangays to experience Plasmotopia, a digital platform by New York-based artists Tin&ED.

Through interactive drawing and worldbuilding inspired by nature, science, and culture, participants explored creativity in new and engaging ways. Designed for all ages, Plasmotopia encourages curiosity, imagination, and discovery—creating a shared space where art, technology, and community come together.

To cap off ACEN Employee Experience Week, 134 volunteers gathered at La Mesa Ecopark for Green Grid Day, a tree-planting initiative in partnership with Ayala Foundation.

Together, volunteers planted 1,035 native Narra and Yakal seedlings, contributing to the restoration of the La Mesa Watershed—an important natural resource that helps protect biodiversity and supports Metro Manila's water security. The activity also contributes to the Ayala Group's commitment to plant and nurture five million trees.

As we celebrate the International Year of Volunteers, Green Grid Day is a reminder that volunteerism can take many forms. By giving their time to help restore shared natural spaces, volunteers are contributing to the health of the environment and the communities that depend on it.

Congratulations to Nena Caurang and Marietta Mangasin, dedicated Iraya daycare teachers, recently earned their TESDA Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) NC III Certification after completing the eight-week Early Childhood Care and Development Training Program.

Their certification marks an important milestone in strengthening early childhood education within the Iraya community. By continuing to build their knowledge and skills, they are helping create stronger learning experiences for young children during the most critical years of development.

This achievement was made possible through the support of the Local Government Unit of Puerto Galera, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Barangay Aninuan Captain Manolito Magbuhos, and the Sisters of Charity of St. Anne, whose partnership continues to support educators and invest in brighter futures for indigenous communities.

Ayala Foundation is proud to share that CENTEX Digital Education has been included as one of the official menu options under the Department of Education's Adopt-a-School Program.

Through our work with DepEd Zambales, the Local Government of Zambales Zambales, ACEN, Education Development Center, Globe, Huawei, Khan Academy, and National Teachers' College in San Marcelino, Zambales, CENTEX Digital Education helped students more than double their mathematics scores from 27% to 56% — while outperforming the control group by 13.8 percentage points.

We look forward to working with more partners to expand access to evidence-based learning solutions, helping more Filipino learners thrive.

Seeking to channel more private sector resources into the country's strained education system, the Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday launched a digital platform that allows companies, civic groups and individual donors to directly support priority needs in public schools nationwide. | Lisa Apacible

Ayala Foundation is honored to join BPI in celebrating its 175th anniversary through a shared commitment to volunteerism, environmental stewardship, and community partnership.

As part of the month-long celebration, 122 BPI employee-volunteers and 53 partners gathered at Manunggal, Balamban, Cebu where they planted 1,500 native tree seedlings. Implemented together with the Bukid Multi-Purpose Cooperative, the initiative also supports the long-term care and monitoring of the seedlings, helping ensure they continue to grow in the years ahead.

GCash employees recently returned to Biyaya Animal Sanctuary for a second volunteer activity, continuing their support for the sanctuary through Ayala Foundation's Corporate Citizenship and Volunteerism program.

Twenty volunteers spent the day assisting with feeding, cleaning, enrichment activities, and the daily care of rescued animals. By returning to volunteer, they contributed to the ongoing work that enables the sanctuary to provide a safe and caring environment for the animals in its care.

As part of the Ayala Young Leaders 2026 culmination, fellows took part in the Masungi Georeserve Stewardship Hike, where they experienced one of the country's leading conservation initiatives while strengthening the bonds they built throughout the fellowship.

The experience encouraged fellows to reflect on stewardship not only as environmental responsibility, but also as a way of leading with care—for people, communities, and the natural resources that sustain them. By connecting leadership with conservation, the hike complemented the fellowship's broader commitment to developing leaders who understand the value of service, shared responsibility, and long-term thinking.

Ayala Foundation had the privilege of facilitating a Steward Leadership Training with the leaders, forest patrollers, and nursery workers of the Irayan Mangyan community in Pagturian.

Rooted in the Irayan Mangyan community's enduring relationship with their ancestral land, the training created a space to reflect on the knowledge, values, and traditions that have guided generations of forest stewardship. Together, participants explored how these practices continue to shape the way they care for their forests, protect biodiversity, and strengthen their community.

Through discussions and participatory workshops, community members identified their strengths, reflected on shared challenges, and developed practical actions to support both their natural environment and cultural heritage. For one community leader, the experience was a meaningful affirmation of the work ahead: "Nagpapasalamat kami sa pagsasanay na ito. Malaking tulong talaga ito sa amin."

Thank you to the Irayan Mangyan community for welcoming us and for generously sharing your knowledge, experiences, and commitment to caring for the forests that have sustained your people for generations.

Drawing from his personal journey and the Filipinos he has encountered through his work at Ayala Foundation, Tony Lambino shared how meaningful encounters, or pagtatagpo, have deepened his understanding of the country and strengthened his hope for its future.

Speaking at the FEU Class of 2026 Commencement Exercises, he encouraged graduates to look beyond first impressions, allow others to deepen their understanding of themselves, and use their knowledge and opportunities in service of people beyond themselves.
