Representing MCCI at the opening ceremony were Head of Membership Tess Co and Head of Halal Affairs Azhar Mahmood, reaffirming MCCI's commitment to supporting trade, business development, and industry collaboration between Malaysia and the Philippines.

MCCI is honored to witness the Opening Ceremony of the Franchise International Malaysia (FIM) Expo & Seminar 2026 held at the iconic — one of Southeast Asia’s premier platforms for entrepreneurship, innovation, and global business collaboration last 21 May 2026.

This year’s 33rd edition of Franchise International Malaysia brings together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and franchise innovators from across the region and beyond, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a strategic hub for franchise development and international business expansion. Organized in collaboration with the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) and the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development and Pernas, the event continues to open doors for meaningful partnerships and economic opportunities.

The expo and seminar aim to further strengthen Malaysia’s franchise ecosystem, with hundreds of exhibition spaces, international exhibitors, business matching opportunities, and forums discussing the future of franchising, retail innovation, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration. FIM has also historically attracted participants and visitors from over 70 countries, showcasing the growing global interest in Malaysia’s franchise landscape.

MCCI Head of Foreign Affairs Anna Karina Jardin proudly participated in the event. Highlighting the importance of strengthening Malaysia-Philippines cooperation through entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and regional partnerships. Her participation reflects the growing role of creatives and community leaders in bridging industries and fostering people-to-people connections within ASEAN.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished government officials, franchise industry stakeholders, international delegates, business chambers, investors, and representatives from various organizations committed to empowering entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth in the region.

On May 19, the Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries Philippines Inc. (MCCI) conducted a courtesy visit to the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), reinforcing a shared commitment to stronger Philippines–Malaysia business relations and regional cooperation within ASEAN.

The meeting was attended by the MCCI Board of Directors, Executive Committees and key members, together with FFCCCII’s Board Members, Honorary Officers and Executive Committees. The gathering was also honored by the presence of representatives from the Embassy of Malaysia, including the First Secretary and the MATRADE Commissioner.

Discussions focused on trade opportunities, investment potential, ease of doing business, regional cooperation, and future partnerships that can drive growth and innovation for both countries.

MCCI expresses its sincere gratitude to FFCCCII for the warm hospitality and productive exchange of insights as both organizations continue to foster meaningful partnerships for regional growth and economic development.

The Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries Philippines, Inc. (MCCI) successfully conducted its 5th Monthly Meeting on 19 May 2026, bringing together the Board of Directors and Executive Committees.

As part of MCCI’s ongoing commitment to transparency and engagement, the session provided key updates on the Chamber’s recent activities, upcoming initiatives, and strategic collaborations. The meeting ensures that our members remain well-informed, aligned and actively involved in advancing Malaysia–Philippines business relations.
