On behalf of Chairman Nur P. Misuari, the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), and the Bangsamoro people, we extend our warmest congratulations to His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Government of the Republic of Türkiye, and the noble Turkish people on the Tenth Anniversary of the Victory of Democracy, commemorating the historic events of 15 July 2016.
This solemn anniversary stands as a powerful testament that when a government truly belongs to its people, and when the people rise with unwavering faith and determination to defend their homeland, their constitutional order, and their national sovereignty, they shall, by the permission of Almighty Allah, prevail over every challenge. The courage displayed by the Turkish nation on that historic night remains an enduring example that the strength of a united people is greater than any force that seeks to divide them.
The Bangsamoro people hold Türkiye in the highest esteem. Our relationship is founded not only upon friendship between nations but upon centuries of Islamic brotherhood as members of the Muslim Ummah. Throughout history, Türkiye—through the glorious legacy of the Ottoman State—served as the great umbrella that sheltered, protected, and inspired the Muslim Ummah, preserving its dignity, defending its sacred values, and strengthening the bonds of Muslims across the world. That noble legacy continues to inspire peoples who seek justice, freedom, and self-determination.
The Moro National Liberation Front likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to the Republic of Türkiye for its enduring friendship and steadfast support for the Bangsamoro cause. We gratefully acknowledge Türkiye’s goodwill and its continuing support toward peace, justice, and development for our people. Such solidarity reflects the deep bonds of Islamic brotherhood and mutual respect that have long united our peoples.
This anniversary also presents an invaluable lesson for the Bangsamoro nation. The extraordinary unity demonstrated between the Turkish Government and its people during one of the most critical moments in the Republic’s history serves as an enduring example worthy of emulation. It reminds us that no nation can preserve its dignity, sovereignty, and future unless its people stand united with one heart, one purpose, and one unwavering commitment to protect their homeland and legitimate institutions. The unity displayed by the Turkish nation should inspire all Bangsamoro to strengthen our own bonds of solidarity in pursuit of peace, justice, and national progress.
As we commemorate this solemn anniversary, we do more than merely remember the heroes and martyrs of 15 July—we honor them. Their sacrifices are forever etched in the history of the Republic of Türkiye and in the hearts of the Muslim Ummah. They willingly gave their lives in defense of their nation’s constitutional order, sovereignty, and democratic will, leaving behind a timeless legacy of courage, sacrifice, patriotism, and faith. Their noble example reminds all generations that the blessings of freedom, dignity, and national independence are often safeguarded through the highest form of selfless devotion.
We pray that Allah (Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā), the Most Merciful, grants His infinite mercy upon the martyrs of 15 July, forgives their shortcomings, elevates their ranks among the righteous, and admits them into Jannat al-Firdaws. May Allah also grant patience and comfort to their families, continue to protect the Republic of Türkiye, strengthen its leadership, preserve the unity of its people, and bless the nation with enduring peace, prosperity, stability, and strength for generations to come.
May the enduring brotherhood between the Bangsamoro people and the Republic of Türkiye continue to flourish under the guidance of Almighty Allah.
