On ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, the ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐‘๐ž๐š๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ ๐Ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ซโ€™๐ฌ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  was conducted for ๐’๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ฆ๐š ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐๐š๐ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The session aimed to equip parish volunteers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively facilitate book reading sessions for children in their community.

Bernardo, RSW, SPCC-NCR Social Worker, together with Sr. Anita Andrew, SDS, facilitated fun games during the ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ-๐’๐š๐ฅ๐จ ๐“๐จ๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ: โ€œ๐…๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒโ€ ๐‚๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐›๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ฆ๐š ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐๐š๐ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก. The activity provided participants with the opportunity to engage directly with community settings and gain a deeper understanding of the realities, strengths, and challenges faced by children, families, and vulnerable groups at the grassroots level.

During the recollection, Rev. Fr. W***y S. Benito reflected on the significance of Pentecost, particularly the symbol of the ๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™ช๐™š๐™จ ๐™ค๐™› ๐™›๐™ž๐™ง๐™š that descended upon the Apostles. These tongues of fire represented the ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐’๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ญ, empowering the disciples with courage, wisdom, and zeal to proclaim God's message. Participants attended interactive workshops designed around the key topics and issues identified during the Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) conducted with children from various parishes. These sessions provided a safe and engaging space for children to express their thoughts, learn about their rights and responsibilities, and discuss issues affecting their well-being and development.

The ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ง'๐ฌ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ also emphasized the importance of child participation, protection, and empowerment in building safe and nurturing environments. Through meaningful discussions, collaborative activities, and creative expression, the event encouraged children to become advocates for positive change and to contribute to the development of loving, peaceful, and child-friendly communities.

The culmination program served as a platform to showcase the talents and skills of the children and parish volunteers. It was also an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the efforts and participation of the children who attended the BRP sessions, as well as the dedication of the parish volunteers who supported the program.

Palomique, RSW, MMPA (SPCC-NCR Program Director) and Kathrine Alejo, RSW (SPCC-NCR Formation Coordinator). The activity was attended by youth and adult volunteers who actively participated in the discussions and learning exercises.

The formation aimed to increase awareness of child protection, personal safety, and the importance of creating safe environments for children within families, schools, communities, and church settings. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and sharing of experiences, participants gained a deeper understanding of recognizing potential risks, responding appropriately to concerns, and promoting protective behaviors among children. The facilitators also emphasized the shared responsibility of adults and young leaders in safeguarding children's welfare and upholding their rights. The activity concluded with a commitment from the participants to apply the knowledge gained and to serve as advocates for child protection within their respective communities.
