🤝 ACPAPP and the SEC: Strengthening a Partnership for the Profession

The Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) is honored to once again collaborate with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the successful conduct of the 2026 SEC Industry Briefing, a two-day event held on June 23 and July 1, 2026. Since 2018, this annual initiative has exemplified the strong and enduring partnership between our organizations in promoting excellence in financial reporting, auditing, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

ACPAPP extends its heartfelt appreciation to the SEC for its continued trust and confidence in our Association as its valued collaborative partner.

Representing ACPAPP during the briefing were Executive Vice President Pepz Zabat, Vice President Jerald Sanchez, Vice President Grace Asuncion, Director Gerry Orosco, and Executive Director Marifi Maring, who proudly reaffirmed ACPAPP’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen collaboration between regulators and public practitioners.

Our sincere appreciation likewise goes to the SEC officials whose leadership and dedication made this year’s Industry Briefing possible:

* Atty. Francis Edralin Lim, Chairperson
* Atty. Emmanuel Artiza, General Accountant, Office of the General Accountant
* Ms. Guada May S. Preciados, Assistant Director, Office of the General Accountant
* Ms. Pearl Ivy Santos, Supervising Accountant, Office of the General Accountant

Together, ACPAPP and the SEC continue to build bridges between the regulatory community and the accountancy profession—promoting competence, integrity, transparency, and good governance.

The Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) participated in the BIR–Private Sector Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing held on June 23, 2026 at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in Quezon City, marking the continued strengthening of collaboration under the BIR Multi‑Sectoral Working Group (PMSG). Through its participation, ACPAPP continues to play an active role in advancing the interests of certified public accountants in public practice and contributing to the development of a more efficient, transparent, and responsive tax system.
During the program, ACPAPP President Cesar Faustino R. Ravalo, Jr. delivered a short message on behalf of the organization, reaffirming ACPAPP’s support for sustained cooperation with the BIR and the broader private sector.
