MAITUM, SARANGANI โ Members of the Maitum Chapter of the Mindanao Archdiocese celebrated three significant occasions on May 23โ24, highlighted by the 61st Patronal Fiesta of St. Peter and St. Paul, the 8th anniversary of the Church and Convent Consecration, and a tribute to Msgr. Rufino A. De Guzman for his eight years of service and guidance.
The festivities opened on the evening of May 23 with the Patronal Fiesta pageant. Gallant Brave M. Valdez and Macriona Zen Labrador were crowned King and Queen, respectively. They were joined in the royal court by First Prince Ryle Andrew V. Arapoc and First Princess Adriella Ellice L. Nadera, as well as Second Prince Clark S. Badiola and Second Princess Earl Joy S. Sagun.
On May 24, Msgr. Rufino A. De Guzman presided over a solemn High Mass commemorating the eighth anniversary of the church and conventโs consecration. The religious celebration was followed by a fellowship gathering where parishioners shared meals and celebrated the milestone together.
The weekend also served as a time of reflection and gratitude for members of Maitum Chapter, District 1, who honored Apo Raffy for his years of service, presence, and teachings. Congregation members credited his dedication and leadership with contributing to the chapterโs spiritual growth and strength through the years.
The celebration highlighted not only important milestones in the chapterโs history but also the enduring spirit of faith, unity, and gratitude among its members.
