The Department of the Interior and Local Government IV-A joins the nation and the world in celebrating the 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), with the theme "Fostering Disability-Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress," pursuant to Proclamation No. 1157, series of 2006.
This year's theme reminds everyone to take part in creating an environment where Persons with Disability (PWDs) can enjoy productive and fulfilling lives, ensuring that they are fully included and empowered to participate in society.
We, in DILG IV-A, continue to recognize the invaluable contributions, strengths, and voices of persons with disabilities in shaping our local government units (LGUs) and communities toward genuine accessibility and inclusion. May this celebration inspire renewed commitment to participative governance, responsive social protection, and community support systems that empower persons with disabilities to thrive in the region.
