𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄!

The Archdiocesan Youth Day 2026 officially embraces its theme:

“You also are my witnesses, because you have been with me.” (John 15:27)

The theme draws inspiration from the Message of the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV for the 40th World Youth Day—specifically his call for young people to become witnesses of Christ, not only by encountering Him personally, but by making His presence known through lives rooted in faith, service, and joyful discipleship.

Pope Leo XIV’s message leads us on a simple yet powerful journey: from friendship with Christ, to active witness, to mission lived in fraternity. We are called to know Christ, share the Gospel through our daily lives, and serve as instruments of unity, reconciliation, and hope.

To guide our delegates, AYD 2026 follows a threefold journey: Spark, Ember, and Flame. More than just themes, they mark how every disciple grows in faith:

𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊: A first encounter with Christ that awakens the heart.

𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑: A faith strengthened through prayer, formation, and community.

𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐄: A faith that shines beyond ourselves to bring hope, unity, and renewal to the world.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪: In a solemn moment of prayer, the Youth of the Risen Lord are taking part in the Veneration of the Cross where they write their prayers and intentions, offering them to Jesus with trust and hope.

May the Cross remind every young heart that no prayer is unheard and no burden is carried alone.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪: The youth of the Risen Lord are now gathered in prayer as we walk together through the Youth Way of the Cross. A time to reflect on Christ’s passion, remember His sacrifice, and deepen our faith as young people journeying with Him.

We invite everyone to visit and pray before the Youth Cross, which will be enthroned in our parish together with a relic of the True Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

As the Krusada ning Krus ding Kayanakan visits our parish, the Parish Youth Ministry opens the church doors to all parishioners and devotees. Let us come together in prayer and venerate the True Cross, through which Christ offered Himself for our salvation. Our veneration is directed not to the wood itself, but to Jesus Christ, who redeemed us through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

May this visitation of the Youth Cross deepen the faith of our young people and our entire parish community.

The church will remain open until 12:00 midnight today. Everyone is warmly invited to spend time in prayer and to approach the relic with faith and reverence. See you, Ka-parokya!

As we begin the countdown, we anticipate with great hope the saving grace brought by the visitation of the True Cross of Jesus in our parish. United with the youth of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, we come together to celebrate Christ through His Cross, embracing a journey that transforms and deepens our service in the youth ministry.
