Making a Difference—through Second Chances!

🏆 National Awardee, Ten Accomplished Youth Organization of the Philippines (TAYO 21) 🇵🇭

Second Chance Philippines is a non-profit organization that facilitates employment and livelihood for persons deprived of liberty (PDL) through a multi-dimensional approach in the community. It is a community-based post-release employment service of PDL. Second Chance Philippines has partnered with businesses and created an enabling ecosystem that provide former persons deprived of liberty employment assistance, loan assistance, and other services that may help them start their lives anew outside prison. Inspired by the "Yellow Ribbon Project of the Singapore Prison Ministry, the project also aims to generate acceptance and raise awareness of the need to give second chances to former offenders and their families. We want to inspire the community to take action to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates back into society. Second Chance Philippines used the “Bridging Leadership Framework,” which is a management approach that promotes processes that address social inequities. It’s all about leading collaborative action to bring about social change. Bridging leadership involves three main segments: building ownership of the response, developing co-ownership with other stakeholders, and engaging in the co-creation of better, more inclusive societies. It is also anchored in the United Nation’s Development Goals and Ambisyon Natin 2040, of having decent work and economic growth, it also targets to establish sustainable and inclusive economic progress while eliminating forms of inequality in the country. SCP desires to bridge the disparity between the former PDL and the members of the community they will be joining hence, establishing a strong and long-term relationship based on trust and mutual understanding. Kabataang Pilipino! 🇵🇭 The search is on for the 𝗧𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀! 🏆

Nagbabalik na ang country’s premiere award giving body na kumikilala sa kwento, galing, at 𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 ng mga filipino youth organizations sa bansa na lumilikha ng positibo at epektibong pagbabago sa kanilang mga komunidad!

Hinahanap namin ang mga youth organizations na:

• May lima (5) o higit pang mga miyembro

✅ Magkabarkada, magkakaklase
✅ Student-based organizations
✅ Church youth groups, Hobby groups, Fan/idol groups, Volunteer groups
✅ Sangguniang Kabataan, Local Youth Development Council
✅ Fraternity, Sorority
✅ Social Media Groups (Facebook Group, Discord Channel)
✅ Start-up, Social enterprise, Foundation, NGOs

Second Chance Philippines proudly congratulates JCINSP Edo Lobenia, our Founder and Executive Director, for being accepted into the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship Program—Cohort 2026 intake.

He will pursue a Master in Public Policy at the University of Sydney, where his research and studies will focus on developing public policy that is technically sound, implementable within institutions, and aligned with political realities, while benchmarking global best practices to contribute to the development of the Philippines meaningfully.

The Australia Awards is the Australian Government’s flagship scholarship program, investing in future leaders from partner countries who are committed to public service, good governance, and long-term national development.
