In celebration of Earth Day last April 29, 2026, and in alignment with this year’s global theme, “Get Together, Stay Together,” a meaningful and collaborative coastal clean-up activity was successfully conducted at Sariaya.
This environmental initiative was spearheaded by the Kiwanis Club of Lucena Infinity, in partnership with the Key Club of Mayao Parada Agricultural Integrated High School, the Kiwanis Club of Lucena Kalilayan, the Kiwanis Club of Lucena Gat-Uban, the Kiwanis Club of Quezon Finest, and the Kiwanis Club of Kalilayan Angels, together with the steadfast support of the Provincial Government of Quezon.
The activity gathered volunteers from various sectors who united in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community service. Participants worked collectively in removing solid waste and debris along the coastal area, contributing to the preservation of marine ecosystems and the promotion of cleaner and healthier shorelines.
Beyond the physical clean-up, the initiative also served as a powerful reminder of the importance of sustained cooperation and unity in addressing environmental challenges. It highlighted how collective action—when communities, youth organizations, and local government units come together—can generate meaningful and lasting impact for future generations.
Anchored on the spirit of “Get Together, Stay Together,” this endeavor reaffirmed the value of solidarity, responsibility, and continued partnership in safeguarding our natural environment.
