Pan de Libertad Closing Ceremony and Graduation

BJMP Female Dorm, Dalahican Road, Lucena City

The Pan De Libertad (Freedom Bread) is an eco-livelihood grant from Soroptimist International of the Americas Philippine Region. It supports the Baked with Hope Bakery in Lucena City District Jail Female Dorm.

50 women deprived of liberty underwent entrepreneurial training, basic accounting, occupational safety and health, marketing, and urban gardening. This project aims to provide knowledge to the participants that they can use upon their release and start their new life. By equipping these women with essential skills, the initiative fosters a sense of empowerment and self-sufficiency.

Additionally, the bakery serves as a sustainable business model that can thrive. As the women learn to bake and manage a business, they can also cultivate hope and resilience for their future.

Ultimately, the Freedom Bread initiative not only transforms lives but also contributes positively to every woman who has undergone the training and can one day help them have their own business in the outside world.
