Ang wika ay hindi lamang paraan ng pakikipag-usap. Ito ay bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan, kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakaisa bilang isang bayan.

Bilang paggunita sa ika-148 na anibersaryo ng kapanganakan ni ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ ๐‹. ๐๐ฎ๐ž๐ณ๐จ๐ง, na kinikilala bilang โ€œ๐€๐ฆ๐š ๐ง๐  ๐–๐ข๐ค๐š๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐š,โ€ ating binibigyang-halaga ang kanyang mahalagang ambag sa pagsusulong ng isang wikang magsisilbing tulay sa pagkakaunawaan at pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang pamumuno, naging mahalagang bahagi ng ating kasaysayan ang pagkakaroon ng isang wikang pambansa. Ang kanyang adhikain ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng iisang wikang gagamitin, kundi tungkol sa pagbuo ng isang mas nagkakaisang sambayanan na may sariling tinig at pagkakakilanlan.

Ngayon, ang wikang Filipino ay patuloy na nabubuhay sa bawat tahanan, paaralan, pamayanan, at henerasyong gumagamit nito. Sa bawat salitang ating binibigkas at bawat kuwentong ating ipinapasa, dala natin ang isang bahagi ng ating pagka-Pilipino.

Kaya naman, ang pagpapahalaga sa ating wika ay pagpapahalaga rin sa ating mga pinagmulan. Nawaโ€™y patuloy natin itong gamitin, pagyamanin, at ipasa sa susunod na henerasyon nang may pagmamalaki at paggalang.
