The Rotary Club of Cosmopolitan Lucena held a dynamic and productive regular meeting, presided over by President Lea Velarde.

The meeting officially opened with an invocation led by PP Pam Palma, the National Anthem led by PP Irma Yamballa, the recitation of the Four-Way Test by PP Redem Peret, and the Rotary Hymn led by Rtn Charlea, with attendance duly recorded by Secretary Raine Calaycay. CP Es Martinez delivered insightful Rotary Information which further enriched the Rotary spirit of all attendees.

The program, masterfully hosted by Club Youth Chair PES Rina Cabuyao, centered on the District Youth Exchange Program (YEP) for RY 2026-2027. We were privileged to welcome distinguished guests introduced by PP Tess Merjudio and to hear inspiring messages from our ROTEX Alumni: Benedict Rubio, Marielle Redor, who sent their sincere and encouraging messages and Christine Rubio followed by a thoughtful response from ROTEX Lara Silvério e Silva from Brazil!🇧🇷

In a warm display of Filipino hospitality, the club gifted Lara with authentic locally crafted items.

A key highlight was the message delivered by Guest Speaker CP Mhon P. Brazas, who presented the upcoming YEP activities. He was expertly introduced by PP Joan Tanola, a dedicated host family for the program. The meeting concluded meaningfully with President's Time, a closing song led by PE Gilbert, and formal adjournment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all officers, members, and guests for an engaging and purposeful gathering.

Ngiting Quezonian: Bright Smiles, Bright Futures, A continuing dental health project series implemented by Rotary Club of Cosmopolitan Lucena

Date: 13 August 2026
Venues: Mulanay Central Elementary School & Guinhalinan Elementary School, San Narciso, Quezon
Partners: Quezon Provincial Health Office, LGU Mulanay, LGU San Narciso

Project Leads: Service Impact President Lea Rellesiva Velarde together with Secretary Raine Calaycay, PE Gilberto Olicia, and CLF-PP Olga Muñoz.

Highlights: A successful preventive oral health initiative reaching 900+ students and guardians in underserved communities of the 3rd District-Quezon Province.
Services included oral exams, fluoride application, sealants, health education, toothbrush/toothpaste distribution, and 450 family oral health packages for Guinhalinan Elementary School.

Outcome: Efficiently delivered to far-flung areas.

Congratulations RCCL and partner agencies for a commendable effort.

Rotary Club of Cosmopolitan Lucena Monthly Meeting

After a hearty fellowship lunch, our regular monthly meeting was formally called to order by SIP Lea Velarde.

The program opened with an invocation led by AG Tess Luna, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by PP Rachel Guisalan and the Rotary Hymn by PP OBet Gajo. PP Juliet Roces then led the assembly in the Four-Way Test, while Secretary Raine Calaycay officiated the roll call.

CP Es Martinez shared an insightful Rotary Information segment, after which PP Elsa Rubio introduced our distinguished guest speaker, PDG Darwin Igualada, who delivered a truly inspiring message to the club.

We were delighted to welcome our new members as they delivered their Classification Talks, and Treasurer Kat Peña presented a clear overview of the club's financial standing.

During President’s Time,SIP Lea highlighted the club’s accomplishments over the past month and unveiled an exciting lineup of upcoming projects and activities—reinforcing our shared commitment to service above self.

The meeting officially concluded at 3:30 PM with a closing song led by IPP Emmie Madla, followed by the official adjournment by Pres Lea Velarde.

Special thanks to PP Adel Roadilla for expertly hosting the program, and to PP Annie for organizing a fun raffle draw that capped off the afternoon with joyful fellowship.
