New Horizons: Acceptance and Orientation of New Enlisted Reservists in the 32nd AFGR
The 32nd Air Force Group Reserve (AFGR) marked a significant milestone on 01 February 2025, as the unit officially welcomed its newest batch of enlisted reservists during the Acceptance and Orientation Ceremony held at the Banahaw Lounge, SOLCOM, Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City.
The event opened with the Assembly and Final Briefing, followed by the formal registration and attendance check. The solemn Invocation led by MSg Henry C. Jalla PAF (RES) set the tone for the day, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
LTC MARIA SYLVIA S. AVILA PAF (RES), Director for Operations and Squadron Commander warmly welcomed the participants with inspiring Opening Remarks, emphasizing the vital role of reservists in supporting the Philippine Air Force's mission.
The attendees were privileged to hear Inspirational Messages from LTC FLORETO I. SOLANO GSC PAF (RES), OIC Wing Commander of 3AFWR and Group Commander of the 32nd AFGR, and COL JONATHAN P. DE LEON PAF (GSC), Group Commander of Tactical Operation Group 4, who motivated the reservists to embody discipline, service, and dedication to national development.
The Orientation Proper, led by MAJ REDEN C. RODRIQUEZ PAF (RES) and SSg Niel A. Parco PAF (RES), provided a comprehensive overview of the 32nd AFGR, covering its history, mission, vision, and structure, along with essential discussions on reservist roles and responsibilities, military protocol, and discipline.
An engaging Open Forum and Q&A Session followed, where reservists actively sought clarification on their duties and protocols.
The Presentation of the Newly Enlisted Reservists was officiated by MAJ RODRIGUEZ PAF (RES), with LTC SOLANO GSC PAF (RES) leading the Pledge of Commitment, a symbolic moment that marked the formal integration of the new members into the 32nd AFGR.
SMS Oliver D. Sadili PAF (RES) delivered heartfelt Closing Remarks, encouraging the newly enlisted reservists to uphold the values of honor, duty, and service. The event culminated with the uplifting Singing of the Philippine Air Force Hymn and a commemorative Group Photo Session to capture the special occasion.
The camaraderie was further strengthened through a lively Boodle Fight Lunch, where participants shared a meal and celebrated the successful event.
This meaningful gathering not only welcomed the newest reservists but also reinforced the values of discipline, commitment, and unity, fostering a strong foundation for their journey in service to the nation.
