The youth empowerment activity held at Tabangao Integrated School is a collaborative initiative of SIKAD Organization, requested by Hon. Harold Segundo, SK Chairperson of Ampalioc and was also funded by SK Ampalioc.

This activity highlights strong youth and community partnership in promoting mental health awareness, positive parenting, preventing bullying, criminal liability awareness and strengthening disaster preparedness among learners.

The program formally began with a prayer, nationalistic and messages of support from the School Principal, Sir Joseph Garcia and Ma'am Geraldine Francisco SIKAD President

The learning sessions highlighted important topics for youth and parents. Parenting was discussed by Mr. Reynaldo B. Manuel, emphasizing responsible parenting, emotional guidance, and positive discipline in shaping resilient and well-grounded children.

Bullying Prevention was discussed by Ms. Ariel Babo C. Bangisan, focusing on recognizing forms of bullying, promoting kindness, and creating safe and respectful learning environments.

Coping Mechanisms was facilitated by Mr. Billy Kid P. Baculi Billy Baculi , providing practical knowledge on coping mechanisms and emotion regulation.

Relationship Towards Teachers was discussed by Mrs. Geraldine M. Francisco, highlighting respect, open communication, and positive school relationships as essential factors in academic and emotional success.

The program also featured resource speakers and partner agencies committed to youth protection.

The Manabo Bureau of Fire Protection, headed by SF03 Jameson S Mauricio, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of Bureau of Fire Protection - Manabo, emphasized disaster resilience, fire safety awareness, and emergency preparedness for the safety of the youth and the community.

Meanwhile, the Luba Municipal Police Station, headed by PCPT Jonathan Canilang, OIC of Luba Municipal Police Station, discussed child protection, CICL and criminal liability, reminding learners about responsible decision-making and legal awareness.

A historic milestone of collaboration as Luba Municipal Police Station headed by OIC PCPT Jonathan F. Canilang and SIKAD Organization headed by SIKAD President Geraldine Francisco formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement to strengthen programs on youth protection, anti-bullying advocacy, mental health awareness, and community safety.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and staff of Tabangao Integrated School for their invaluable support in preparing the venue, under the leadership of their School Head, Sir Joseph Garcia.

This activity serves as a strong reminder that building Kabataang Matatag requires collective effort from families, schools, local government units, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations.

Through the leadership of Mrs. Geraldine Sapongen Manuel-Francisco and the continued support of partners, SIKAD Organization remains committed to empowering youth to become mentally strong, socially responsible, and disaster-ready citizens of the community. 🌟
