What an inspiring get-together at the recently concluded joint meeting of IRRI Toastmasters Club and Los Baños Toastmasters Club! 🎙️✨

With our year-end theme, “From Fear to Fuel: Turning Challenges to Opportunities,” we witnessed speeches and evaluations that reminded us how growth often begins the moment we choose courage over comfort.

Our Word of the Day — tenacity — truly came alive as members and esteemed guests showcased persistence, grit, and a drive to keep improving despite obstacles. 💪

✨ IRRI Toastmasters Club Q2 Meeting Highlights✨

Kicking off the OPPORTUNITIES component of our SOAR Framework series, tonight’s theme—“Beyond the Podium: Leadership in Action”—brought inspiring insights and engaging exchanges! 🌟

Our ever-energetic Toastmaster of the Day, Toastmaster Jhoanne Ynion, skillfully led the program with warmth and enthusiasm, guiding the flow of an evening filled with learning and leadership.

Toastmaster Valerie “Ava” Quizon de Jesus warmed up the evening with her thought-provoking speech “More Than a Moment”, reminding us that first impressions shouldn’t define a person. Then, Toastmaster Chelsea Dolores Carunungan sparked lively discussions through impromptu speeches on creating opportunities to engage potential members and guests. Finally, our session wrapped up with a meaningful and strong points for the Moments of Truth segment led by our esteemed former member, Distinguished Toastmaster, Gladys Thielke. She was lovingly welcomed back by the club as guest General Evaluator.

Indeed, opportunities begin when we take the lead—beyond the podium.💪✨

“Mga ngiting committed” (the smiles of commitment) 😄☺️🌟

What makes a Toastmasters club stand the test of time? At IRRI Toastmasters Club, the answer is clear—commitment.

And tonight’s online club meeting is another testament of that commitment. Led by S2 Area Director, Rica Aicel Mariano as the Toastmaster of the evening, IRRI Toastmasters Club concluded the STRENGTH component of the SOAR framework series with powerful prepared speeches on commitment—from self-discovery in “Finding Myself in the City” by Rochelle Garcia, to reimagining engagement in “Beyond Attendance: A Vision for Engagement” by Jhoanne Ynion, and embracing challenges in “Why Should I Join a Speech Contest Anyway?” by Neb Perez.🎤

The session was capped by a brilliant general evaluation from our guest General Evaluator, Toastmaster Sheryl Hermosa-Ebron, tying the evening together with fresh insights and encouragement. 🌟

What a way to celebrate commitment as one of the strengths that keep our club soaring high! 🚀

🎉✨ Isang makulay na pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika! ✨🎉

Matagumpay na nagdaos ang IRRI Toastmasters Club ng pagpupulong na may temang “Yakapin ang Pagkakaiba, Pagtibayin ang Pagkakaisa.” 🇵🇭💬

Hindi lamang ito naging gabi ng pagpupulong — ito ay naging pagsasama-sama ng ideya, kalinangan, at makabuluhang hapag-talastasan na mas lalong nagpatibay sa diwa ng pagkakaisa ng pangkat. 💡🤝

Lalong naging makabuluhan ang okasyong ito sa masiglang pakikilahok ng ating mga kapatid mula sa Los Baños Toastmasters Club na sina DTM Jef Menguin at TM Avan Go 👏🎤 —patunay na mas masaya kapag magkakasama!

💙❤️💛 Sama-sama nating isabuhay ang wika, pagkakaiba, at pagkakaisa. ✨ Hanggang sa muling bukluran, pagtatasà at pagtatalumpati! Mabuhay ang Buwan ng Wika!

Ngayong gabi sa “Buwan ng Wika Special” na pagpupulong ng IRRI Toastmasters Club, naging tema ang BUGTUNGAN sa bahaging hapag-talastasan ng palatuntunan.

Narito ang ilan sa mga bugtong na ibinahagi ng Tagapamuno ng Hapag-talastasan (Table Topics Master) na sinagot ng mga kalahok at ginamit sa kanilang talumpati. 💃🕺🎙️
