True growth comes from exercising our curiosity—learning, unlearning, and relearning lessons and/or beliefs. As we do, our discernment in navigating challenges naturally improves.
💡Meaning: the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure.
💼 In Action: "Her keen discernment allowed her to evaluate conflicting data and make the right call for the team."

Every day we track numbers and data - step counts, calories, expenses, bills, and metrics. But numbers only tell a small part of the human story. A Curious Mindset goes beyond these figures to uncover the deeper stories behind them! 📊✨

Key takeaways from our meeting:
- Beauty goes beyond the surface 🌟 Inner warmth, creativity, and personality far outweigh superficial appearances.
- History is made by the unsung 🏛️ While history remembers famous icons, real victory and progress are achieved through the quiet contributions of ordinary individuals.
- Teams are built on connection 🤝 Success isn't just about job titles or years of experience; it’s about communication, adaptability, and how well people support one another as a unit.

A huge thank you to DTM Ivan Burcer from Pilipinas Toastmasters Club for serving as our General Evaluator, and to our guests Rochelle Bata, Janaisa Baril, and Joville Andrea Pramis Foliente for stepping up to the challenge and bringing fantastic energy to our IRRI Toastmasters Club meeting! 🙌

Driven by curiosity, great communicators don’t just speak—they know how to ELICIT a reaction, spark a discussion, and uncover valuable insights from their audience. 🧠💡

Starting the new term strong! A Curious Mindset often leads to a Connective Mindset. At last night’s IRRI Toastmasters Club meeting, we explored how simple shifts in perspective, exploring possibilities, and a determined curiosity can radically change how we connect with the world around us.

Key takeaways from our speakers:
🔹The power of a simple “Hello” - How simple and intentional acts of greetings can build meaningful connections with strangers.
🔹The art of snail mail - How subscribing to a mail club and receiving handmade, artistic letters makes connections between strangers.
🔹Owning your circumstances - How keeping a curious and determined mind helps you make the absolute best out of any situation.
🔹Determined curiosity - How the curiosity to learn more, combined with the determination to follow through, opens up unexpected opportunities.

A massive thank you to our guests, Area Director Avan Go, TM Jacqueline Zuñiga Alvarez, Tobiah Partoza Gonzalez, and Daryl (Dee BM), for sharing your energy and making last night such an inspiring success!

💬 What about you? When was the last time you had an unexpected, meaningful connection with a stranger? Let us know below! 👇
