DZRH anchors receive notable distinctions at UP Gandingan Awards

MBC Media Group’s flagship AM station DZRH News secured two major recognitions at the 20th Gandingan Awards, organized by the UP Los Baños Community Broadcasters’ Society.

Veteran broadcaster Cesar Chavez was named Best AM Radio Program Host for Special on Saturday, while Angelo Palmones received the Best News Anchor award for Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.

Selected from over 200 nominees nationwide, the Gandingan Awards recognize media practitioners who contribute meaningfully to public discourse and development communication. This year’s theme, “Pakinggan, Tinig ng Kalikasan,” highlights the media’s role in promoting environmental awareness and responsible storytelling.

The wins underscore DZRH’s commitment to delivering credible, impactful, and socially relevant content, strengthening its position as one of the country’s most trusted broadcast institutions.
