The UP Agricultural and Applied Economics Circle (UPAAEC), formerly known as UP Agricultural Economics Circle (UPAEC), is a recognized academic-student organization based at the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, College of Economics and Management, University of the Philippines Los Baños. Established on December 10, 1975, this organization primarily aims to promote Agricultural and

Applied Economics as a field of study and as a career. Guided by the core values of Excellence, Loyalty, and the Spirit of Camaraderie, UPAAEC has continuously lived up to its mission of supporting and advocating for various agricultural and socio-economic initiatives in the country.

𝙈𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣! 𝙈𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤!

Isang daan at dalawampu’t walong taon na ang nakalipas nang iwinagayway ni Heneral Emilio Aguinaldo ang watawat ng Pilipinas sa Kawit, Cavite bilang tanda ng paglaya ng bansa mula sa pananakop ng mga Espanyol. Isa itong simbolo ng pagsasakripisyo ng ating mga bayani upang makamit ang hinahangad na kalayaan mula sa mga mapagsamantalang mananakop ng bansa. Taos-pusong nakikiisa ang 𝗨𝗣 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 sa pagdiriwang ng 𝗶𝗸𝗮-𝟭𝟮𝟴 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀. Sa araw na ito, ating pagnilayan ang kalayaan na tinatamasa ng bawat isa upang mas lumalim ang pag-unawa natin sa mga pananagutan, tungkulin, at responsibilidad na kaakibat nito. Bigyang-pugay din natin ang mga bayaning buong tapang na nagsakripisyo ng kanilang buhay upang makamtan ang kalayaang matagal na ipinaglaban at inasam ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan sa ating lahat! Nawa’y patuloy nating pahalagahan at pangalagaan ang kalayaang ating tinatamasa, ipagmalaki ang mayamang kasaysayan ng ating lahi, at buong pusong paglingkuran ang sambayanang Pilipino nang may katapatan, dangal, at kahusayan.
