UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungód

UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungód "Pahinungod" is a Cebuano term which is the closest Filipino translation for Oblation, the UP symbol.

The University of the Philippines Los Baños' official volunteer service program, which has long been at the forefront of encouraging public service through volunteerism in the university and its partner communities. The name "Ugnayan ng Pahinungod" was taken from the Tagalog term "Ugnayan" which means linkage among volunteers with the university and with the underserved communities. Oblation means the offering of oneself in the service of the nation.

The UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungód conducted the second basic volunteer training course for the second semester of 2025-2026. A total of 39 new volunteers comprising Batch 46B participated in activities and discussions on group dynamics, basic facilitation, training needs assessment, and Pahinungód Volunteer Ethics, facilitated by senior Pahinungód volunteers.

The UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungód participated in the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance Institutional Assessment for UPLB from 11-15 May 2026. The week-long assessment holistically evaluated the University's strategic, systemic, and functional quality.

UPLB Pahinungód, along with the DUNONG Program and other research and extension projects, was featured in the public viewing of exhibits held on 12 May 2026 at the Graduate School International Students and Cultural Center.

The UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungód's Affirmative Action Project is coming to Paete, Laguna, this June and July 2026!

All current Grade 12 students studying in Paete, Laguna are invited to register and participate in a series of 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 designed to help prepare them for upcoming 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

The UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungod facilitated two activities for the resident members of UP Mindoreños on 02 May 2026.

The Pahinungod team facilitated a team-building activity for the members in the morning to strengthen their rapport, followed by a training session on classroom management along with Pahinungod volunteers who will take part in the upcoming Academic Review 2026.

Academic Review is an initiative of UP Mindoreños in partnership with UPLB Pahinungod's Affirmative Action Project.
