The Rotary Club of West Bay hosted its Governor's Visit and Induction Ceremony on October 21, 2024, with DG Arnold Mendoza at the DMS Apartelle in Los Baños, Laguna.

PDG Paeng Tantuco also attended the 25th Induction Ceremony. PDG Tantuco chartered the Rotary Club of West Bay under the leadership of Charter President Tom Clemeno.

The Rotary Club of West Bay with the leadership of Magical President Kael Oliva and together with the Rotary Club of Bay lead by Magical President Chea De Ramos celebrated the new Rotary year with a Kick-off Project for the Seniors Citizens of Bay Laguna, giving them much needed pampering and fun games.

The Kick-off Project is based on the Legacy Project of District Governor Arnold Mendoza's "Project ARNOLD" for the Senior Citizens of our district.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Past President Efren "Epoy" Cortez, who gracefully joined our creator on December 1, 2023. PP Epoy was a dedicated and active member of the Rotary Club of West Bay, leaving an indelible mark through his service and commitment. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time. May his legacy of service continue to inspire us all. 🕊️

The Rotary Club of West Bay participated in the celebration of the National Reading Month 2023, with the theme, "PAGBASA. Pag-asa sa MATATAG na Kinabukasan, through the invitation of the Masaya Integrated National High School located in Masaya, Bay, Laguna.

PP Pamela Eleazar read the story, "Oh the Places You'll Go", by Dr. Seuss to grade 8 students.

The book reading session was followed by a MOA signing between RC West Bay and the school to renew its partnership, which would strengthen the assistance provided through various club projects. PP AJ Oliva represented HCP Pres. Ryan Malinao in the MOA signing together with Principal Arturo Herradura.

RC West Bay lead by Hope Creating President Ryan Malinao successfully conducted a 7 in 1 project in Agdangan,Quezon titled We Perfectly Deliver Joy

The Club distributed school and cleaning materials, installed 2 hand wash stations, dental kits, conducted feeding program, distributed 2 way radios, installed SOLAR street lights, conducted coastal cleanup and mangrove planting.

COVID-19 Mitigation Initiatives

As RC West Bay continues to do its share in helping our frontliners in their fight to stop the spread of COVID-19, we donated PPEs consisting of face shields and disposable masks c/o IDG Everett Olivan, hazmat suits, and ear savers (knitted by MakiSining and Los Baños Crafters). The PPEs were given to the UPLB University Health Service, University Police Force, and the Ospital ng Bay. The turnover was facilitated by Transforming President TJ Clemeno together with IPP Pamela Eleazar, AG Jonjie Oliva, PP AJ Oliva, and the Club's new members.

D3820 Area 1 Group 6 Champion Presidents Pam Eleazar (RC West Bay), Deo Alcantara (RC Bay), Mitch Aragones (RC Los Baños), and Jo Francisco (LB Makiling) together with RC Bay's PE Carlo Manas guested in today's Diskarte aired over DZJV CALBARZON at 3 to 4 pm hosted by Daniel Castro. The team discussed the END POLIO NOW and the Give Me Five Polio Plus Campaign. They also enjoined the community to take part in helping to eradicate Polio in the country. #WeConnect #District3820CARES #ServiceAboveSelf
