One Planet, One Health: The Microbiologists in Action
The Philippine Academy of Microbiology, Inc. (PAM) in partnership with the National Institute of Molecular Biotechnology and Biotechnology, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB-BIOTECH) and the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. (PSM) invites all Registered Microbiologists (RMicro) and Specialist Microbiologists (SMicro) who are Associate Members of the Academy, to attend the webinar with the theme, "One Planet, One Health: The Microbiologists in Action.”
The webinar will focus on the significance of the interconnections among human, animal and environmental health. The diverse and evolving roles of the microbiologists will be unraveled in the context of Planetary health and exposomics, food safety, zoonoses and animal science by our distinguished faculty-researchers from the One Health Program of the University of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), namely, Dr. Ronilo Jose R. Flores of the Institute of Biological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Dr. Cherry P. Fernandez-Colorado of the Department of Veterinary Paraclinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and Dr. April Shayne L. Sulabo of the Institute of Food Science and Technology, College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS).
