𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 🙏

Prayer is our way of communicating with God through different ways. Yet we sometimes focus more on saying the right words than on the God to whom we are praying. Last Tuesday, we were reminded that prayer is not about how beautifully we say it, but about who God is and the privilege we have to come before Him because of Christ.

As we begin our new series, 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬, we are reminded that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, taught us how to pray so that we may rightly relate with God and recognize Him for who He truly is. Though our sin separated us from the holy God, Christ became the way for us to draw near to Him, and through faith in Him, we are welcomed as God’s children. Because of the Gospel, prayer now becomes a response to God’s grace—coming before Him with fear and reverence, yet also with confidence and trust because Christ has given us access to the Father. And so now, our prayers flow from sincere hearts that know, love, and treasure who God is.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯; 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘺, “𝘈𝘣𝘣𝘢, 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.”

"What we require from others, all the more we should require from ourselves."

Tonight, I confessed how pride has been in my heart.

I didn't want to be the one to reach out again. I thought maybe it was time for them to learn how to initiate difficult conversations, to take the first step, to have the heart to reconcile.

Then someone gently said what I already knew deep inside,

"Sis, that's pride."

It hurt a little bit, but it also brought freedom.

Sin loses its grip when it is brought into the light. What I had been carrying alone suddenly felt lighter because healing begins where honesty does.

So today, I reached out.

I chose humility, even though it hurt.

Then another reminder stayed in my heart,

"All the more you should model grace to them, even if they're wrong. What you require from others, require even more from yourself."

Immediately, my mind went to Jesus.

He never waited for me to deserve His grace. He didn't keep a record of my failures before choosing to love me. While I was still a sinner, He came for me.

If I long for others to see me, understand me, and take the first step toward reconciliation, then I should be willing to do the same. Not out of obligation, but out of love. The grace I have freely received should become the grace I freely give.

I used to think forgiveness was the hardest thing to do.

Then I remembered the countless sins that the holy God has already forgiven in me.

Suddenly, taking the first step didn't seem so impossible.

So if you're waiting for the other person to reach out first, remember the One who reached out to you first.

Choose grace. Reach out.

Some pray on their knees.
Some pray with hands lifted.
Some pray with heads bowed.
Some simply close their eyes and whisper.

𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀' 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 🛣️

In Mark 15:33-39, the death of Jesus reveals to us the weight of our sin and the holy God's righteous judgement that it deserves. Yet because of His great love and mercy, Christ willingly bore our sins and became the perfect and final sacrifice, paying the penalty we deserved.

Through Christ’s death we now have access to God. When the temple veil was torn, the barrier between the sinful man and holy God was removed, paving the way for forgiveness, redemption, and restored fellowship with God.

And this wraps our series, 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬! Since Christ revealed to us that He is the Way, let us continue drawing near to God by faith, entrusting our lives to the One who did not only rescue us from the eternal death caused by sin but also faithfully sustains us each day—Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and the only source of life and hope! Look out for the next series! 💚

𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 🙏

At the Transfiguration of Jesus (Mark 9:2–8), He revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John, showing that He is more than a teacher or a prophet—He is the beloved Son of God, our promised Savior and Redeemer. The Father’s command, “Listen to Him," calls us to truly know, trust, and obey our Lord Jesus.

Because He lives forever, our hope is secure. That glimpse of His glory encourages us to follow Him with faith and confidence, persevering in our journey as we hold on to the promise that one day we will be with Him eternally.

What is the purpose of light?

This question has been on my mind for the past week. The simplest answer I could think of is that light helps us see in the darkness. But I believe light can mean something deeper. Light does not only help us see what is around us. It can also guide us when we are lost.

Imagine being a sailor at sea, surrounded by a storm or thick fog. You cannot clearly see where you are going, and you do not know which direction will lead you to safety. In moments like this, what would you look for? A light. In the distance, a lighthouse shines through the darkness, showing that there is land nearby and helping guide sailors in the right direction. The lighthouse does not remove the storm or the fog, but its light gives the sailor something to follow.

I believe our relationship with God can be like this. At some point in our lives, we may feel lost, confused, or unsure of where we are going. We may go through situations where everything feels dark, like being lost at sea. But even in those moments, God continues to shine His light. He guides us back to Him and helps us find our way again.

The storm may not immediately disappear, and we may still face difficult situations. But when we follow God's light, we no longer have to wander without direction. In Him, we can find guidance, purpose, and a sense of peace.

Maybe that is the purpose of light. It does not always make the darkness disappear. Sometimes, it simply shows us where to go.
