𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 🤍
Oftentimes, a “no” feels like rejection. When God answers our deeply sought prayers with a “no,” we may question Him, feel disappointed, or even resent Him. But last Tuesday, we were reminded that to pray like Jesus is to pray in full surrender. Even God’s “no” is a beautiful answer because He is our loving Father, He is sovereign, and His ways are higher than ours. His “no” can be a “go”—toward His protection, our spiritual growth, a deeper relationship with Him, and His perfect will for our lives.
We see this in Jesus’ prayer at Gethsemane: “Not my will, but yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42) What seemed like a “no” to Jesus’ plea became the way to our salvation through His death and resurrection. So when God says “no,” let us trust that His answer is always rooted in His love and is working toward His glory and our good.
“𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴, 𝘯𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴,” 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥. “𝘈𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩, 𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴.
