𝗕𝗦 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: 𝗕𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗴, 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗝𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗵 𝗡.

As they begin their term of service, may they carry forward the voices of the community and uphold their responsibilities with commitment to student representation in the fields of human ecology and nutrition.

We sincerely look forward to the radical change these students may bring to the College. Here’s to a new chapter of holistic and interdisciplinary leadership.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲.

The CHE Freshman Council extends its appreciation to the Freshmen, Shiftees, and Transferees (FSTs) Community for exercising their right to vote and taking part in the electoral process. Your participation contributes to strengthening student representation and ensuring that the voices of our community are reflected in the selection of its representatives.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

As part of our efforts to foster an informed and engaged student body, the CHElect 2026 candidates and wider College of Human Ecology Student Body participated in a 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗭𝗶𝗴𝗴𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗼, the Vice Chairperson of KALIKASAN-TK and current Community Rights and Welfare (CRAW) Committee Co-Head of the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR) Freshman Council.

The discussion gave participants a clearer view of Southern Tagalog’s current environmental situation, from the injustices faced by communities to ways the youth and broader community can step forward and take action.

Sa ilalim ng imperyalismong US, hindi na bago ang paggamit sa Pilipinas bilang balwarte para sa kanilang makasariling interes—habang patuloy na nahihirapan ang taong bayan ay patuloy din sa pagiging sunod-sunuran ang rehimeng Marcos-Duterte sa kumpas ng dayuhan. Kasabay nito ang patuloy na paghipit sa pondong dapat sana’y para sa ikauunlad ng pampublikong edukasyon at serbisyong panlipunan, habang patuloy na itinutulak sa atin ang isang imperyalistang adyenda, na may ngalang Pax Silica, na yuyurak sa ating kalikasan, magpapasidhi ng militarisasyon, at patuloy na sasamsamin ang ating likas na yaman.

Kaya, mga Iskolar ng Bayan, huwag tayong manatiling tahimik! Lumabas sa apat na sulok ng silid-aralan, makiisa sa panawagan ng sambayanan, at gamitin ang ating tinig upang ipanawagan ang nararapat para sa bayan. Sama-sama nating iparamdam na hindi tayo mananahimik sa harap ng pambabarat sa edukasyon, pagwasak sa kalikasan, at pagyurak sa ating mga karapatan.
