With your generosity and unwavering support, we raised a total of ₱21,965.86! 🚗💚

We rounded this off to ₱22,000 and turned it over to the UPLB Office of Alumni Relations Arangkada Alalay Program, which provides immediate grocery relief packs to jeepney drivers in need.

In August 2020, we were able to distribute rice, assorted vegetables from Benguet farmers, face shields, and face masks to 536 ELBI jeepney drivers! 🚕🚗☺️

We remain deeply grateful to everyone who stood with us in this effort.🤍

As fuel prices continue to rise amid the Middle East conflict, jeepney drivers are among the sectors most directly affected. While the tension persists, many are forced to find ways to survive with barely enough pesos to support themselves and their families. Day by day, the effects are felt not only by the drivers but also by commuters, who continue to show up despite uncertainties and increasing costs.

During this time, our essential transport workers need all the support they can to save their livelihood and keep communities moving. Let us amplify their demand for an adequate and urgent government response. ✊

The Drive for Elbi Drivers initiative began in 2020 at the height of the global pandemic. Six years later, it continues to stand in solidarity with the vital workers of the transport sector.
