The Youth Climate Navigators (YCN) is a women-led organization founded by Filipino youth leaders on August 15, 2018. YCN aims to empower the youth community through environmental education campaigns and tree planting activities. MISSION: To strengthen the youth community towards better climate mitigation and adaptation mechanisms through IEC implementation and policy formulation. Peñaflor is a passionate young leader committed to creating positive change in the field of climate change and biodiversity. With a Master's degree in Island Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Climate Action Diploma from Anant National University, she has organized environmental education campaigns designed to achieve the UN SDGs' Planet Pillar. Through YCN, she empowers and engages youth to think critically about science-based solutions to address climate change and supports government leaders in environmental policy-making. Abby Grace E. Bermejo is a Project-Based Research Associate at Asian Social Project Services, Inc. which supports and assists in ongoing research projects related to Social Development. She was also a former member of Educators for Nature Tourism at Makiling Botanic Gardens which articulates information about the history and culture of the area. She is a highly driven and visionary individual, serving as a co-founder of YCN with a deep passion for strengthening the youth community towards better climate mitigation and adaptation mechanisms.
