The internet runs on documents called RFCs (Request for Comments), published by the Internet Engineering Task Force. These define how everything works online, from websites to emails.

But every April Foolsโ€™ Day, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) publishes RFCs that look official, but come with a twist, complete with formal structure and numbering. From โ€œThe Twelve Networking Truthsโ€ to the โ€œHyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocolโ€, these playful RFCs remind us that even in the highly technical world of the internet, thereโ€™s always room for a little creativity and humor.
