The Laying of Stones is a yearly activity conducted by Madre de Amor Hospice Foundation, Inc. for the families of our departed patients. Through this gathering, we invite them to share their journey and experiences while caring for their loved ones during their final days. It also serves as a safe and meaningful space where they can express their emotions, grief, and memories as part of the healing process.

We are deeply grateful to all the relatives who came and shared their stories and experiences, together with our hospice volunteers. Your presence, heartfelt sharing, and support made the gathering more meaningful, comforting, and inspiring for everyone.

The long wait is over! Hospice now has its own service vehicle. Last May 6, we gratefully received a donated car from Mr. Francis Laurel of Toyota Batangas through the kindness and help of Ms. Cristina Sison (“Babs”).
This became possible after she shared the story of our nurse and staff who visit patients using only tricycles and jeepneys as transportation while providing care and service to our patients in the community.
We are truly grateful for this blessing, which will greatly help us reach and serve more patients and families in need of hospice and palliative care.

The art activity brought joy and comfort to our daycare patients as they explored drawing and painting on canvas bags. It became a safe space for them to express their thoughts, emotions, and creativity in their own unique ways. While engaged in the activity, they felt a sense of calm and relaxation, sharing that it helped lessen their worries even just for a while. For that moment, they were able to shift their focus away from their illnesses and simply enjoy being present. The activity also encouraged connection, as they bonded, shared stories, and enjoyed each other’s company while painting together.
