🌊📢 FROM THE LEADERS’ ASSEMBLY: LOBO, WE MUST STAND TOGETHER

The Flock of the Third S*x Lobo Organization, Inc. (FTS Lobo) participated in the “Save Lobo, Save Batangas, Save VIP” Leaders’ Assembly, where we listened, learned, and gained a deeper understanding of the concerns surrounding the proposed Pryce Gases LPG Terminal, Refilling Plant and Industrial Gas Facilities in Barangay Talalhib Pandayan, Batangas City.

We are sharing what we learned because the people of Lobo deserve to know.

Although the proposed facility is within Batangas City, it is located near our municipality. Its potential risks and environmental consequences do not necessarily stop at a political boundary. A major fire, explosion, flood-related incident, hazardous-material release, or environmental contamination could potentially affect neighboring communities, livelihoods, coastal resources and the environment of Lobo.

🚨 THESE ARE QUESTIONS WE ALL DESERVE TO ASK:

What happens if an LPG facility catches fire or explodes?

What happens during a major flood, earthquake or other disaster?

Where are the emergency and evacuation plans?

How will Loboans be warned and protected?

How will our fishermen, coastal communities, tourism and marine resources be protected?

And most importantly:

WHY SHOULD THE PEOPLE OF LOBO HAVE NO MEANINGFUL VOICE IN A PROJECT THAT MAY POTENTIALLY AFFECT THEM?

The assembly also raised concerns regarding the project’s environmental compliance, land-use changes, consultation process, disaster preparedness and contingency planning, including the reported DENR-EMB Cease and Desist Order issued on January 22, 2026.

These matters deserve transparency, proper investigation, accountability and clear answers from the appropriate authorities.

This is about the kind of future we want for Lobo.

Our forests, watersheds, coastline and marine ecosystems are not merely resources. They sustain our communities.

The Verde Island Passage is a precious ecosystem that supports marine life, fisheries, tourism and countless communities.

THE ENVIRONMENT CAN LIVE WITHOUT US,
BUT WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THE ENVIRONMENT.

We are not against development or progress.

We are asking for development that is responsible, safe, transparent and sustainable—development that protects human life and the environment.

We cannot allow our voices to be divided.

And we want a future where development and the safety of our community can exist together.

Following the attendance of our President at Governor Vilma Santos-Recto’s State of the Province Address (SOPA) 2026, the day continued at the IIEE Office for the drafting and creation of the By-Laws of the Batangas Provincial People’s Council.

As part of the Committee on Policy, our President proudly represented the Flock of the Third S*x (FTS) Lobo Organization, Inc. and contributed to this important process of strengthening the council’s policies and organizational framework.

A productive day of representation and meaningful participation. 🏳️‍🌈✨

We are grateful for the opportunity to take part in this significant gathering and to continue representing the voices of our sector and community toward a more inclusive and progressive Batangas Province.

2ND QUARTER GENERAL ASSEMBLY | SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM

On July 8, 2026, at 8:00 AM, the President and Treasurer of FTS Lobo attended the 2nd Quarter General Assembly held at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, representing the United Colors SLP Association under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

The assembly provided an opportunity for SLP associations to participate, receive updates, and strengthen coordination toward sustainable livelihood development and economic empowerment within the community.

FTS Lobo remains committed to supporting livelihood opportunities that promote empowerment, self-reliance, inclusion, and sustainable growth for its members and the community. 🏳️‍🌈🤝

FTS LOBO PARTICIPATES IN THE BATANGAS PEOPLE’S COUNCIL ELECTION

The Flock of the Third S*x (FTS) Lobo Organization, Inc., represented by its President, Leah Detaunon, participated in the Election for the Batangas People’s Council.

During the election, FTS Lobo President Leah Detaunon was elected as Chairperson for the sectoral cluster of Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and LGBTQIA+.

FTS Lobo extends its warmest congratulations to all the newly elected officers of the Batangas People’s Council. May this new set of leaders work together with dedication, integrity, and a shared commitment to ensuring that the voices of different sectors and communities across the Province of Batangas are heard and represented.

We look forward to meaningful collaboration, stronger civil society participation, and more inclusive development for every Batangueño.

Ang transgender woman ay babae dahil ang pagiging babae ay hindi lamang nakabatay sa kasariang itinalaga sa kapanganakan. Ang transgender woman ay isang taong ipinanganak na lalaki ngunit kinikilala at namumuhay bilang babae. Tulad ng lahat ng kababaihan, nararapat silang igalang, tratuhin nang pantay, at magkaroon ng kalayaang maging totoo sa kanilang sarili.
