Surrender is not giving up. It is trusting God with what you cannot control.

There will be moments when you’ve prayed, tried your best, and done everything you know to do—yet the outcome is still uncertain. That is where surrender begins.

Surrender means saying, “God, I’ve done what I can. Now I place what I cannot change in Your hands.”

You don’t have to understand everything to trust Him. You don’t have to know what tomorrow holds to have peace today. God sees what you cannot see, and He is already present in the places you are worried about.

Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep taking the next faithful step. And when something is beyond your control, remember: you were never meant to carry it alone.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Remember, your relationship with God doesn’t have to be complicated.

You don’t need perfect words to pray. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to Him. You don’t have to prove yourself worthy of His attention.

Just come as you are.

Talk to God about what’s on your heart. Thank Him for the little things. Tell Him when you’re worried, confused, grateful, or tired. Spend time in His Word, even if it’s only a few verses. Then carry Him with you into the ordinary moments of your day.

God isn’t asking for a performance. He desires your heart.

Sometimes faith is as simple as waking up and saying, “God, I’m here. Help me walk with You today.”

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

A new month is more than a change on the calendar. It is another reminder of God’s faithfulness—new grace, fresh mercy, and another opportunity to be thankful.
Not everything from last month may have gone according to plan. Some prayers may still be unanswered. Some goals may remain unfinished. There may even be moments we wish we could redo. Yet here we are, standing at the beginning of another month. That alone gives us a reason to say, “Thank You, Lord.”
Gratitude does not mean everything is perfect. It means we recognize God’s goodness even while some parts of our story are still unfolding. We thank Him for what He has done, for what He is doing that we cannot yet see, and for the grace that will carry us through what lies ahead.
As you enter this new month, resist the pressure to have everything figured out. Instead, begin with thanksgiving. Give God your plans, your expectations, your worries, and your hopes. Ask Him for wisdom to recognize the opportunities He places before you and grace to handle each day as it comes.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23

There may be moments when you become tired of your own mistakes, weaknesses, and repeated struggles. You may wonder, “Is God tired of me too?”

The answer is no. God’s patience with you is greater than your patience with yourself. Psalm 103:8 says He is “merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.”

Even when you fall, His mercy invites you to rise again. You are still a work in progress, and God is still working in you.

Problems have taught me to notice a gift I once overlooked: waking up with a quiet mind. A morning without worry may seem ordinary, but after difficult days, it feels like grace.

Today, I thank God for the breath in my lungs, the chance to begin again, and the peace I can receive one day at a time. I do not need every answer this morning. I can be grateful for this moment and trust Him with what comes next.
